I miss seeing a simple set of (appropriately long) shorts and a T-shirt or (full-coverage) sports-bra.
In the past, our athletes had to wear a gym-wide black sports bra and black shorts. The shorts could be anything from Nike Pros to Soffe, as long as they were black. I think non-worlds team parents wanted something a little more "special", as the worlds teams have their fancy custom practice wear. Last year they started giving all teams the option to order custom team practice wear.

With that said, this is still just a digital rendering on a model. The shorts may not actually be that short. Also they typically only ask the athletes to wear these on the practice before a competition (for uniformity), and I have *never* seen a coach or instructor complain if an athlete wears a t-shirt or tank over their practice wear, or if an athlete swaps out their "custom" shorts for Nike Pros, or swaps the sports bra, etc.

Still ordering a size or two up to be safe!

I will say that this is completely valid; the whole part about the black on black. We were always told to wear black everything to Friday night practices. However once we started getting the Rhinestoned sports bras around 2007/8, certain coaches really enforced it even at regular practice...and I have never been one to be comfortable in nothing but a sports bra! But they sure did make me take that tank off. I guess it's just the difference between the locations or something.

It could be the age difference, too. My CP just turned 9 today. :)

Heat Athletics practice wear. I love it!

Awwww, the bedroom eyes are gone.

I actually like this one---not so much the back on the top one, but the design is cute.

I was going to say the same thing... until I saw the second one. It's her eye makeup. If she's not smiling with teeth showing, she looks too seductive to me.

I do like the practice wear, though. I prefer the racer back over the X back. :)

Her face is also a different color than her neck which bothers me. There's just too much make up going on there. And most likely it's not that poor girls fault.

I've never been a hardcore member of the Bra Brigade but after buying my first high impact sports bra, now I'm a hardcore activist. I'm retired but even just wearing one while I workout felt so shockingly different to me. I can't imagine what it would be like to wear some of the more flimsy strapped bras we've seen during actual intense practices. I doubt they're manufactured to be high impact or to accommodate one underneath, which you really shouldn't be forced to double up because what you're given is not enough support. Things need to change!!!

Have any for you guys worked with Illusive before? Completely new to the practice wear process and kind of being thrown into it (and extremely overwhelmed) but I was wondering how their quality of product and customer service is. I know it says on the website it takes 7 days to get your designs, but how quickly do they usually get back to you with revisions? Their shorts remind me of Nike pros in pictures, do they feel like them? Any kind of information would be super helpful!

I don't understand how to patch on the back will even kind of work..there's nothing supporting it.

I like the idea of having the logo, but the front of the sports bra confuses me. I would like it a lot more if it had a normal front with the logo on the back. I get what you're saying, there doesn't seem like there would be a lot of support and no way to double bra with that back. Very cute for a younger team but how practical is it with for girls who are more gifted? What happened to practice wear being practical

I don't work for them, but almost any place does sublimation now and most are running great deals for the summer. I obviously think GK is the best quality, but whatever company you normally work with will probably have the same options!

Illusive is crazy expensive IMO...my team used CS Athletic and we loved it. Way cheaper and I like most of their designs better.

How much were those sports bras? The sublimated ones we have from varsity are $45 I think and they're reversible. The tank tops are about the same but they aren't reversible.
