So, for my high school, everyone can park there (freshman-senior) The parking tags are $5 & senior spots are $10. Our parking lot is pretty large & past the football field is the non-senior spots (pretty long, dreaded walk I must say).
I'm only a junior but I have a senior spot (my cousin is a senior & she practically lives with me so i'm her ride home so she bought a spot & gave it to me since I don't have a 1st period I would be in the verrrrry back of the parking lot, aka Egypt). So, basically what i'm saying is, people with out a senior spot have a huge tendency of parking in senior spots. As I said, I don't have a 1st period so I tend to have to deal with people parking in my spot AT LEAST once a week.
What is usually done at your school when people park in your spot (if spots are assigned) & do you think it's fair what is done? I mean, I did pay $15 to park there & for someone to not pay & take my spot is just plain annoying. Thoughts?

If you don't have the proper parking sticker on your window, you get ticketed. I think its like a $20 fee? There is a cop that does random checks. Sometimes you get away with it, but he usually checks at least once a week. Or if he gets complaints that someone couldn't park where they are supposed to he'll go take a look.

We have senior & junior parking lots (sophomores can also park in jr lot). The parking spots aren't assigned, the faster you get there the better spot you get. My junior year I drove my neighbor, who was senior and she bought a senior pass for us to use but then this jerk told the office that juniors were parking in the senior lot and we got the senior pass taken away, which was totally unfair, becasue a senior bought it and a senior was in the car.

If you don't have the right parking tag then you get a ticket, not sure for how much.
Parking costs like $80 (I think more though) a semester for either lot and a day pass costs $2.

One ticket for parking in the faculty lot, and then a tow the ne xt time. If they catch you in the 15 minute or visitor parking, you get towed -__-

$240 for a permit...

$40 fee if your permit is not visible (or wrong zone), $100 if it's in a "No Parking" area or in an event lot, $200 if you park in a fire lane, $250 if you park in a handicap spot. They don't play.

$30 parking fee at my school, there is a senior lot, and and a junior lot, any leftover spots go to the underclassmen. You get ticketed for parking without the pass. the pass must be displayed on your rear-view mirror. Oddly enough, the junior lot is closer to the school than the senior lot..

Well when I was in school it was $5 for a parking tag but you can park anywhere you want. Our school was big and one story so it was speed out very far an multiple different building. There is parking all around all the buildings people generally would park close to their first period or their sixth period. Really never a problem and I don't even think they checked the tags so it was pointless. Late or early or on time it was fine!

Oh wow, $80 bucks for a parking spot? Seems a bit much...

Wow my high school was horrible for parking... Permits cost about $125 or so? Ridiculous. Only seniors that paid the fee got the permit and could park (and were assigned #'d spots alphabetically). Left over spots went into a lottery for juniors that were willing to pay. So oooobviously juniors would think they were sneaky and try to steal spots.

Parking costs $175 for commuters at my college ($250 for residents & freshman can't have cars at all). Then there's an absurd amount of tickets they could give you ranging from $10 to $250. There's about 3 cars for every 1 spot on campus, which, as a commuter, in a major pain.

I guess they really don't want student drivers. They sheet about it said something like we encourage you to take the bus or get dropped of blah blah blah. My parents complain all the time about having to pay that much.
But on the plus side senior parking is right in front of the school and the junior lot is only across the street:)

Oh wow.. I would NEVER pay that much, i'd rather park across the street at 7-11!

Jeeez. Where I live theres TOO many drivers.. (Rich parents buying their kids brand new BMWs & Hummers -_-) So they don't really need to make our fees too high since they probably get $1,000 in just regular permits.

I was lucky to get a brand new Honda Civic! Haha:) I wish ours were as low as yours, my parents would be so happy! I'm pretty sure another reason why ours is high is because the school police officer supposedly watches it during the day so there are no car break ins but I highly doubt he does that.

Yeah, same here, not sure about how many car break ins there has been but everyday at least 20 kids go out to the middle of the parking lot to smoke under a tree & no officers even know yet.. loll
