I'll be honest, I find it hard to believe Sarah Finnegan would be in that spot had it not been for one of them declining. Granted, it could have been Nastia.

That is what lead me to think she might have been offered and declined. Don't get me wrong, I love Finnegan though. She's super cute and will absolutely dominate in 2016.

Wasn't going to watch the video but of course did, thanks for making me cry AGAIN!!! But worth it. And I agree, we may never know if she and Alicia actually declined alternate spots but I would rather see her go out this way than sitting on the sidelines in London in a Team USA warmup suit. She passed the torch with grace and class.

For her sake, I really hope she is retiring. I can't imagine her making any sort of comeback at this point, and it would be in her best interest to hang it up.

I believe the WOGA Twitter account said she's retiring.
I know Nastia plans on going to university, wonder if she'll be making an appearance on the college gymnastics circuit? Also read somewhere last night that Valeri wants her to stick it out for one more Worlds. I think she'd be smart to, she could easily take bars and beam by next year, but Idk if my body could handle that..

How much of a deduction is it if you don't get back on the apparatus after 30 seconds? 'Cause looking at her bars routine and her deductions, I'm coming at only around a 15 without that fall, and that seems low, so I have a feeling she was deducted for taking too long, 'cause it was about 40 seconds.
