Would you guys still go to one of cheer's biggest events if it was the EP who approved/approves of cheating/gray area, etc?

probably not, but (not saying this is what happened, because honestly I'm clueless right now) I would also lose any respect I had for the program involved no matter who it was, because they are at just as much fault for agreeing to cheat as the EP

don't they all? I have yet to see any EP lay the smack down on anyone cheating or playing the gray area. Heaven forbid they lose revenue. That being the case bigger names and bigger programs likely get more deference than Sally Jo's Newbie Cheer Stars that the EP can't brag about attending.

Well this happened at Worlds... kristenthegreat -I was referring to the illegal everything about Bangkok in 2011, and as far as I know, no one has taken World's off the table bc of it.

Not having a clue what is going on, I would hope not.

However, our industry hasn't figured out how to speak with our money. On this site and in my own gym experiences we have heard over and over again how horrible EPs can be (inadequate warm ups, questionable judging, etc.) yet we still attend the events.

Or maybe it has to do with the perception that the ones in the best position to speak with their money are the ones receiving benefits (reduced comp fees, favorable judging.)

Just my thoughts based on what I have read on FB.

So a big EP was asked by a well known big gym to bend the rules for them. ? And the EP agreed. Why was there a need for this rule bending to be asked in the first place? I am only guessing as I am clueless and trying to understand. I am not calling out anyone just trying to follow what's going on.
