I wish senior elite kept those assisted kick doubles as well as the double ups. Half the creative stunts shown in the beach camp video didn't even make it to the routine, but would have increased their difficulty by a mile.

Well, with a raw score of 98.30 I don't think that they need to (or can) increase their difficulty by a mile ;).

they took out the assisted kick doubles because of an injury they had while performing them....i cant see them putting them back in. i do agree that they should put the double ups back in considering the rest of large senior does them.

they might need to if they plan on beating orange who has a raw score of 98.6..
0.30 of a raw score difference to me is not having to increase difficulty "by a mile" in order to beat them.

ETA: they will probably even be able to do that just by raising their execution score.

Legit (if stupid) question: if there aren't set difficulties like in diving what actually makes up a raw score? In my head a raw score would be the highest possible score for a given routine with no deductions and perfect execution. So how could increasing execution raise a raw score?

I've never really understood how the raw score is determined.

Isn't that a very good reason NOT to do them?
I highly doubt that CSP will allow any of her worlds teams not to max out the scoresheet so we're fine there.

Wouldn't it be better to come up with something creative rather than doing what everyone else is doing? No one gets far by following sheep.

P.S If you look at SE's Coach Sarah's ask.fm then you can get a little insight into the thought process behind their routine decisions.

So your saying when all of large senior followed suit in doing a full team stunt last year to keep up with scoring they shouldn't have because everyone else was doing them ? It doesn't make sense. They all did that for a reason.
I think the double up are impressive and score well when hit personally. The weird lib stunt is out of place, and I doubt it's doing them favors in the score department

Exactly. WHEN they hit it. Senior Elite were not hitting that as consistently as they would like. They, unlike some teams, have sacrificed it for a cleanly executed stunt.
Would you rather say
"We do a double up so we're on par with the rest of our division, but only 5/8 flyers actually do it and 2 of them fell and bobbled"
Or
"All our flyers do a full up to heelstrech and everyone can hit it consistently and it looked clean and sharp and we added in more stunts elsewhere to compensate our stunt score"

Execution vs difficulty here.
I would rather a well executed team (SE Worlds 2013 makes me the happiest girl ever. CLEAN) than a team throwing skills they can't hit for difficulty points.
