I'm not saying the crowd videos are the ones in the wrong, its the ones that are stolen off the stream. Kinda sucks for the people that do pay their hard earned money to watch and enjoy

If people record, upload and post their videos they have taken off the live stream then they are letting us watch them. How is it stealing if its given to us?

It is stealing because everyone who purchased the live feed also paid for Varsity having the equipment and the (paid) staff there to deliver the livestream to us. So I am paying for them having the equipment and the staff and you are expecting the same service for free / or someone else gives you the service they (I) paid for for free.
If someone else pays to go see a movie, do you think it is right that they record it and you watch it later at home for free? That is exactly the same thing.
Anyone wonder why the stream got more expensive this year? It is not only because Varsity wants to make more money. It is also because more and more people are expecting to watch the videos for free and hope that someone is "stupid" enough to upload them. Less people purchasing the stream = more expensive for the ones who actually buy it.
I find it extremely rude for people to ask here for videos from the livestream and for others to actually post them (or start a pm group to get them to the others).
And don't whine about not having enough money. I have a very tight budget. But there is the key word to being able to afford the stream: budget. I know right now when NCA will be next year. I know that Worlds is the end of April. I can plan those things in advance so that I have enough money in my account to legally purchase the right to watch videos right away. If I can't or don't want to buy the livestream I have to wait until the videos are available legally (= Tuesday on varsity.com).

*end of rant*

And now everyone go and hate/dislike away on my post.

ETA: This is not only directed towards you, I just used your post as a jumping point.

Well, in this community not everyone is able to travel to Dallas or pay the 30 dollars for just two days. People, including myself, have lives and have to work so we can't spend all day Saturday and Sunday watching a computer screen. We do this every year and it's never bothered anyone before. So if you don't like it, I guess you don't have to watch the videos lol.

It bothers people every year. Pretty sure I've complained about it every year, especially Worlds.

The Fierce Board: If you're gonna be talked about, shouldn't you at least be here to defend yourself?

Okay, I apologize then. I just never remember seeing anything about it.

I'm not only NOT going to spend my money on the videos, I'm not going to sit around all day and take time off work to watch cheer through my laptop. Lol. If you don't want people posting videos that you just paid to watch, don't post them. Don't complain about other people who are nice enough to post them for those who don't have the TIME nor the money to watch them. Idk to each their own I guess.

okay well this is a thread for videos so obviously you had intentions on watching some illegal videos coming on here #byefelicia
The thread title isn't "2013/2014 Videos That My Friends Stole" ..ya know since there are practice videos, show off videos, routines recorded by phones/ipads also in here

I agree with you that its not right. But it is the way it is now.

All I know is that this year I seriously considered buying the stream and then came to the conclusion of "There is no point in wasting my money if there will be videos uploaded within an hour of them competing".
I will probably do the exact same for Worlds.

Videos are becoming instantaneous almost along with play by play updates on twitter.
With all the issues that the live streams have every year, I still fail to see the point in them unfortunately.
The cost is also extortionate.

Exactly. What's the point in buying if they will be up soon anyway? Regardless, there will still be videos of people who are in the arena not necessarily recording off live stream.
