That was genuinely my favorite routine of the weekend. They went on a few teams before one of ours both days and they were so much fun to watch! What does your comp schedule look like? Would love to see ya'll again!

We are in Des Moines this Saturday. Then Kansas City the 1st weekend in April. And then Summit. My daughter is the tiniest one on the team. She is a flyer. And thanks for the compliment on Sr Black - there is something really special about that group of girls.

We will see you guys again in Kansas City and at the Summit! [emoji4]

Edit: The "regular" summit or the D2 summit?

The regular Summit - they got a paid bid in Minneapolis in early December (if I remember correctly) Great that you will be at Summit and Kansas City too.

According to Inside Cheerleading Magazine The Future looks Bright for some All Star programs but when you look at the name of the program, for years you will remember them as the gym that was disqualified for cheating. I don't think the future is looking so bright. The amazing athletes are looking elsewhere but some are stuck because their parents prepaid the season to save a little money. Gyms say they won't take those kids but I think that is a horrible thing to do. Don't punish these amazing athletes. They wanted to cheer, what kid is going to stand up to their coach and say I am not cheering on this team because so and so is the wrong age. No one wants to be the outcast. I know a lot of these girls. This is where they have always felt they belonged. Without cheer something is missing for some of us. Even if a Mom said something their child will become an outcast. They would just have to give some way out there excuse and keep it a secret or be ridiculed. Despite everything I have posted or said, I probably honestly would have finished the season.
It's up to the parent, not the child to say cheating is wrong. Unfortunately, when the parents love to win even more than the children, that's a problem. They will always cheat in one way or another, and they will always stack teams. I doubt that this taught them anything but if your going to cheat, hide it better. Maybe, some of these parent have a reputation and the other cheer places around there don't want parents like that there. But i really doubt anyone has left/ or wants to leave there.

The season is almost over. Leave and go elsewhere for try outs.

Thank you! And sorry for the misspelling. Non-Native english speaker! but im trying my best! s thank you for your advice!
No need to apologize. You and the rest of the European posters do a great job posting. I am always amazed at how well you do.

My cousins in Norway told me a joke once and how true it is.

What do you call a person who speaks 2 languages? Bilingual

What do you call a person who speaks 3 languages? Trilingual

What do you call a person who speaks 1 language? American.

**please raise your hand if you're related to Jocelyn**

I only did that because you said that weren't sure of the spelling. You do a wonderful job of expressing yourself in English.

Again, I am happy that your tests were good.

Totally unrelated to the original post, but my CP's team was up against yours a few weeks ago in DeKalb. She's on Illinois Allstars Zeus.

Awesome! It is so fun seeing how many different people we see at competitions.

Sad but true LMAO! I wish we were closer in proximity to continental Europe.

+ @Cheer Dad
Are languages offered at schools and students don't take them, or they are just not offered?

Other languages are offered and at my HS it was a requirement to take 2 years of a foreign language. But, 2 years is not nearly enough time to become comfortable with a language at the rate that a HS teaches it at. I took 5 years of Spanish and I lost most of the vocab and grammar skills when I stop using it.
Now, I've heard of some elementary schools incorporating Spanish into their curriculum at an early age, but that is in California where Spanish is very useful to know. In Illinois, I know that some private schools offer classes for a second language for an extended amount of years. However, private school = price tag.
I feel like the US encourages learning other languages but they don't require it or the schools don't offer the students enough time to actually be able to adopt the new language.
