I guess it could be considered a trend because it seems to get worse and worse each year, but something I would like to see die next year? Disrespect.

Athletes disrespecting other athletes
Athletes disrespecting other gyms
Coaches disrespecting other gyms
Parents disrespecting coaches
Athletes, parents, coaches disrespecting EP's

It has to stop.
Don't forget parents disrespecting other gyms too!

Not sure if many will agree on this... but
I need skirts to GO! Just wear shorts! It's so much easier (and classier than watching someone pull their skirt down literally every 8 count) plus, I love the look, like Top Gun athletes.

Also, I hate the V cut at the top of skirts, BIG no no. Even better reason to cancel skirts.

Can't agree on this. As an adult with an adult body and strong legs, shorts just rid right up on me and look terrible. You couldn't make me give skirts and when we were picking new uniforms, our entire Open team agreed on this

I prefer skirts over shorts. And as a person who wasn't a skinny Minnie, I would've felt more comfortable in a skirt than tight fitting spandex shorts any day. I think skirts look better on all body types unlike shorts.

If you thought some teams bottoms were short, they'd look long compared to what spandex shorts look like on me even after just walking. Between having thighs that touch and just large thighs in general, there is no way shorts wouldn't ride up on me all around and I'd spend probably half the routine pulling them down. Not a cute look.

My CP is only 12 and has the same issue.

Not to mention the only way to really pull shorts down when you have big thighs is to reach up the middle and pull from the inside....def not cute on the mat, and it's either do that or have them ride up so much you'll see things you shouldn't. Lose/lose situation there. Skirts all the way!

Anybody use the locked down skirts by rebel?

Not by rebel, by I've had skirts that were sewn to the shorts on each side seam. I wanted to cut them after the first competition, cos my skirt just rode up with the built in shorts. The only time my skirts have ridden up otherwise was when they were too small (sometimes hard when you've got a skinny waist and big hips)
