Yes they are told which outfit to wear on which day in their group chat prior to each practice.

What about the
Makes it very easy for the athletes and the parents. They might like certain ones more than others but all are bra friendly and fit well, I will say that.

I am still trying to figure out why some gyms require multiple practice uniforms. Ours requires one (but you can make your own personal preference if you want to wear the full top vs sports bra). I understand the reason for needing everybody to be dressed alike. But what is the reasoning behind needing more than one style/color for different days?

My thought is that they always want to envision them as a team and be able to see it on the whole rather than individually. The coaches want to be able to see it as it would look on the comp floor as it is coming all together in practice. Could their number of practice outfits be considered excessive and would they have been fine with 3 (for arguments sake so then each only had to be washed once a week)? Probably. I know when they went away to camp they had one day where they changed from one outfit in the morning to another for the later session, so for that particular instance they needed 4. The coaches always want the team to be presentable in any situation. Aside from the appreciation of not having to wash out a practice outfit the night before leaving for a competition (because the coach decided that the team needed to wear their one practice outfit that night) my feeling is that looking sloppy makes sloppy practice. It's the same reason I don't mind that cp has to wear a bow each practice (and yes they're told which one to wear ;)).

My team last year practiced 4 days a week. Because of that, we had 4 practice wear sets, and a bow that matched one of the outfits. We practiced Monday, Wednesday,Thursday and Sunday. As long as you did laundry on Tuesday, Friday or Saturday, your cheer laundry was done for the week. I personally would hate having to wear the same practice wear every day. For one, I like wearing different colors like purple or pink that my gym doesn't typically wear and two I don't have to run a laundry load 4x a week for one thing. I mean sure my parents like that I do my own laundry but I think they wouldn't be very happy! As for the bow, at my gym athletes RARELY wear a bow. The only times we do are when we are forced. The bow is for showcases, official out of town practices and other things like that.

I remembered my daughter's team practiced 3 days a week (Tuesda , Thursday and Sunday) 3 practice outfits with matching bows for each outfit too. The team was told what practice day each outfit and bows were for and usually the team will wear their Sunday practice outfit when they competed at 2 day events for practice.

Tbh, when my daughter was at a gym that everybody wore the same soffe shorts and T-shirts with a white ribbon for a bow, I just order 2 extra shorts and shirts and bought some ribbons from Michael's store... I think, I spent about $50-60 and now, my daughter wear those same practice outfits as pajamas or regular workout clothes(basketball or track). Unfortunately, my daughter is not able to wear those expensive $200 practice wear anywhere outside....

My CPs gym requires they wear their practice bow at every practice. Last year, her coach let them wear whatever bow they wanted to. Perhaps because it was more "fun" as she was on a youth team. She is on a senior team this year, and from what I have heard, her coach is requiring them to wear their actual practice bow. Don't know if it true, but we are generally rule followers so she always attends with her bow.
My CP attended a very small gym a few years ago that didn't have practice attire. You just needed to wear something comfortable. She always wore bike shorts from gymboree and a plain tank from Justice. Sports bras were not allowed unless you were wearing a shirt over it. I loved not having anything specific to keep track of. This is my daughter's 4th season of having a competitive uniform, and I do think it looks so much nicer with everybody dressing alike.

I got to wear my practice t shirts everywhere until they got holes in them! My friend wore her expensive practice wear sports bra to a regular gym and they told her she had to put a shirt on or leave. So sad to pay all that money for rhinestones, sublimation, and strappy backs to have to cover it up with a shirt unless you're in the one place that doesn't enforce 'no shirt, no service'.

Why can't gyms go with regular Soffee shorts that can b bought any where and then just buy different tops? Oh wait that would make sense[emoji1]

I can't stand soffee shorts for practice, especially for flyers - not functional at all! You would need to put a pair of spanks on underneath anyway, so why waste the additional money for soffees?
The practice wear total for my CP this year worked out to $25/item and each piece is functional and classy.

I cheered in Soffees' prime and I HATED them. I hated the roll-down trend of them, but if you didn't roll them the elastic was so scratchy and uncomfortable. And like @quitthedrama said, they showed off your crotch if you were a flyer or doing toe touches. The price was great, sure... but I paid much more for spandex to go underneath.

I meant to say Nike pros. Don't know what I was thinking [emoji1]

I meant to put Nike pros and I was referring to the gyms who have 3/4 practice sets not the nice gyms who only make u buy 1 set.

My cp gym does 3 practice outfits and practices 3 days a week. For $100 they get 3 bows, 2 tanks and a rebel practice wear sports bra and shorts. Depending on the team the coach sets a schedule of what outfit to wear what day.
My 2 kids on tiny also get the same but only practice 1 or 2 days a week.

That's a good price for 3 outfits.

This is my first year at my gym but I know that previously they've done sports bra + spandex, but to keep the cost down they did two mandatory tank tops and optional sports bras and spandex. I personally have two of the same tank tops because I wanted to have my options lol but they were pretty cheap anyway. It's nice to not have to spend like $300 on practice wear. I think, including (this was all done on an online store) the warm up jacket which was like $80? $60? I forgot- and an extra sports bra and spandex it came to around ~$120. If you take out the warm ups and the extras it was probably like $30. (I'll post pictures soon- they're all super cute!)
ETA: oh, and a shirt too
