Hi cheer friends and family! I am writing a paper on the history and industry of cheerleading. Part of this paper is discussing practices of running a cheerleading business! I have compiled a list of survey questions. Anyone that can help and fill this out would be great!! I chose the fierce board because its a great way to receive a diverse amount of answers and keep my volunteers anonymous! If you have the time please take a few minutes and answer these questions. If some questions don't apply feel free to skip them. Your help is greatly appreciated :)

Name of company? (again.. you can skip this one)

Type of company?

How is your company or program marketed?

How did you decide on pricing? Any discounts offered?

Any specific or unique hiring practices?

Does your company require any specific certifications for coaches?

Does your company have full-time/part-time/ or both staff members? More so one or the other?

What kind of insurance do you have for athletes or coaches?

Are athletes or coaches required to have their own separate insurance?

Which organizations safety regulations do you follow?

Does your company travel? If so how do you facilitate this?

What safety protocols do you follow to prevent or manage injuries?

How do you staff/schedule events/practices for coaches/athletes?

How do you manage difficult situations among staff/cheerleaders?

How do you facilitate financial transactions?

How do you handle a situation in which someone does not pay?

Do you sell merchandise? How do you prevent parents/members from selling their own?

This will be tough to get some replies in the newbie forum.

You may want to try reaching out to gyms near you or maybe a kind moderator, @NJ Coach, could post in the coaches forum to see if anyone would reply. Honestly though I don't think there are many actual gym owners here that would be best suited to answer these.

Good luck.

I absolutely could move this to the coaches section, however, the OP wouldn't be able to see any of the responses. I'm not sure how much traction you'll get in there. Instead, I'll move this to main section to see if anyone can help there.

My thought is they could email replies to her but the main board works.

I'm not trying to be that person that says "there is already a thread about this" .. but, there is already a thread about this - except, I don't know how you would search for it but there is a LOT of good reading material in the thread I remember!
