All-Star Spirit Spotlight-wildwood 12/3-12/4

You can tell at least some of them by the Level 5 teams (scroll up) - IX, PAC, USA Wildcats, NY Icons, CNY Storm, Crown Athletics, Pittsburgh Superstars, State, Spirit Factory, NJSE. They have to bring 75% of their full year teams in order to be eligible for a Worlds Bid so I guess most if not all of their lower level teams will be attending as well.

Id like yo think more than 10 gyms will be there though.

Does anyone have a schedule for the wildwood comp. would love to see what teams are attending this year. Can't seem to find one online.

I believe that is the schedule.

Maybe. The other day the EP was tweeting that if your gym had a level 5 Worlds team and wanted to attend to contact them. I think this was on Wednesday.

Question - does CNY really only now have 4 teams in their whole program? For some reason I thought they were a bigger program but as they are only bringing 3 teams to the comp, bringing 75% of the program in order to be bid eligible would mean they only have 4 teams? I'm not a math person, so please feel free to correct me if I am interpreting this incorrectly. I enjoyed watching their teams last year.

I dont keep up with them as much as I used to but 4 teams doesnt seem right, they have 2 gyms.

If I recall correctly, the teams that are attending wildwood are all from the Albany gym so the three teams might be 75% of the albany gym (I know some gyms get around the 75% rule/small gym division that way). If not, those team might just be the travel teams this year and are attending the comp just to compete and not for a bid.

Idk how many are from each gym, but there are 15 total teams listed on their website.

Well this is the comp where they advertise this week that they want more level 5 teams to compete! [emoji12]. Some rules don't apply.

Yeah, I saw that. From that graphic on their site, it should be about a 7/8 split between the gyms. But im not sure how accurate that graphic is since sometimes teams are switched around or dispersed. I tried to find out more info from their twitter and instagram but i couldnt find anything.

I have to imagine they arent trying to go after the bid and are just getting competition jitters out of the way. CNY usually doesnt take their junior 1s/ 2s or younger teams to out of state comps often (unless its a team from their albany gym and the comp is in MA bc Albany is right on the border).

If it's one gym the rule should apply regardless of the number of locations but I've come to the conclusion that rules just don't apply to any competition - even the "biggest and best" as we saw last April - and if they aren't going to be accountable, then how can we expect EPs to be? Not saying the gym in question is doing anything wrong, but for any gym if you are advertising x amount of teams on your website then that is the number of teams you need to use when these types of rules come in to play.

From what I've seen on Twitter, all of USA Wildcats teams are in 1st, and they are in line for a paid.

Personally that's a pretty high score for the pretty basic stunts they did and some, didn't do.
