This isn't a competition video, but I figured I'd share it for laughs. Our cheerleaders do a fundraiser called "teacher cheerleader" every year, where teachers put jars in their classrooms and any jars that get to $75 have the teachers perform at the winter assembly with the Varsity cheerleaders - if they get up to $100 it ensures they perform in uniform. We had 8 teachers participate and raised close to $900, and the students loved seeing their favorite teachers try to perform at the assemblies. 10/10 would recommend to any other cheer coaches who are close to/know the teachers at their school.

Lol, I loved this! Entertaining and a great fundraising idea. What were the practices like for this?

The teachers just came in, I asked them what they were comfortable doing, and they were all super open about trying new things. Essentially it was like "alright let's see who we can get in a half, who we can throw, and who we can teach a cartwheel to". We lucked out in that we had two former cheerleaders as teachers, so they already knew what they were doing haha. All in all, the girls had a blast, we made a lot of money, and the school loved it.

The woman who flew the basket toss is a boss haha. People new to cheer are often scared of those!

Yeah she's so tiny and was like "I want them to throw me!" so that's exactly what we did! She was very particular about who would be throwing her in that it had to be students she knew and trusted, but I was just stoked that she was down for it! And then obviously the second teacher who went in a basket has cheered before so it was nothing new to her haha. It was kind of cool to learn so much about my coworkers though, not gonna lie. They were full of surprises!

Who did the RO double BHS? The woman in black, I mean; was she a teacher as well?

The woman in black was actually me :shimmy: It's been a few years but I still got it (with poor form) haha. The woman with me was also a teacher who was a former cheerleader, so the kids practically rioted when we both did the pass. As my students said today in class, "Ms. Jones I didn't know teachers could do stuff like that." :shaka:

Small, Medium and Large divisions at KHSAA states: | Live high school sports video and live stats on the NFHS Network | NFHSNetwork.com
You'll have to make a (free) NFHS account to view. Took me 2 seconds.

North Laurel~21 min
Greenup~2 hrs 16 min
Dunbar~2 hrs 31 min
Southwestern~right after PLD
And I caught Mercy in there too! ;)

Additional note: SW did a TIC TOC in their AG double cupie. It didn't hit, but I have faith that it will at Nationals. Their difficulty is INSANE. Program goals.

Rewatched Mercy's high to highs a good 5 times. Love to see creative grips to make difficult stunts easier!

Adding to your list of schools to watch...
Madison Southern - 1 hr 11 min
Simon Kenton - 1 hr 25 min
Corbin - 2 hr 12 min
Pikeville - 3 hr 6 min

These commentators though... wish they would just stop talking! The one guy just makes himself sound like an idiot over and over.

I coach Mercy - thanks! Kenny Feeley was a blessing when we were struggling on high to highs!

Pikeville was INCREDIBLE! The full up single based stunts, the double around in the pyramid & the front flip were just a few of the things that made my jaw drop!

We don't compete in the UCA circuit (we attend NCA Nationals in Dallas) & we lost a super talented athlete on Wednesday to a concussion, so we were very pleased to place where we did with the amazing teams in the large division!

One of the commentators is the head coach of Morehead State. I do not know who the other guy is.
