It was our first time going to this comp and I was expecting a train wreck based on their history. But I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Of course all our teams winning and getting that paid bid helped! But honestly it was a well run comp, they stayed pretty much in schedule both days and scoring and placements seemed spot on in all divisions. On Sunday they actually had a live band perform in between performances and they were so good and actually made it fun!

The wait before each team went on was honestly unnecessarily long. The band was unneeded in my opinion for me. Not just that but probably one of the weirdest competition I've ever been too... We probably won't go there next year due to a problem last year. (Again, not trying to start drama or anything)

Or they could take the maximum alternates from other teams in the gym.

Small Teams are allowed up to 6 substitutions and international teams are allowed up to 8. Does anyone know how many crossovers the two teams actually had?

I think it was around 7 but not 100% positive. But they don't have full teams of 20 to begin with, more like 13-14 athletes each.

were they coed4 and coed5? If so, then that was my gym lol. So a teammate of mine overheard a woman say "The only reason why there so good in the coed4 division is because all the guys crossover for coed5". and I told my teammate along the lines "Well, since i'm only on coed4 and not coed5, i'm not good." Some people are so rude. But I completely see where your coming from, my team sandbags SO MUCH that it even annoys me.

They are talking about a gym that crossed kids between level 5 teams.

** ^^^ that's my sarcasm font**

Personally that's a pretty high score for the pretty basic stunts they did and some, didn't do.

It wasn't varsity scoring outta 100.
Plus that was one category and with the Watered down stunts they still managed to score on high range cause they had the other skills they needed....

I know, I am a little disappointed in the outcome in that my predictions didn't come true (but happy for PAC as they have been the perennial bridesmaid at this comp the past few years). Curious to know though how a gym that received AL bids for two teams with essentially almost all of the same kids on both teams plans to handle that situation, and why that is acceptable (since both cannot be used in the long run) as it basically took an AL bid away from another gym

Isn't that the way mell and her group allways play? They make their own rules. They knew both teams would get their bids like every other year.Who puts 7-8 same kids crossover to worlds team?

i thought it was weird that after the small coed team comepted a bunch of them ran back into warm ups to get ready to compete with the international team. i think day 2 they even missed part of their warm ups. didnt realize they had that many crossovers.

You should give it a rest and you may want to do your research . PAC has a coach known for cheating in the past even at the World's level. If I'm not mistaken IX scored much higher than PAC and equal to SE and /AS1 at Worlds even with some issues this past year. You should really stop assuming and listening to rumors that it was rigged. Don't be surprised if they get paid at another competition but then I guess that one will be rigged too!
