You Can do your cheer where you want to. It does not matter, many do it in the middle because most elite tumbling and stunts can have "fresh legs"... and while cheer is a cardio workout, it allows you to take a moment to clear your head before going into what is hopefully a strong pyramid...
I say this all the time, the cities are the ones that are going to want to open venues. There are some places like sports complexes in more remote locations starting to open up but for the most part we will be at the mercy of the cities with their venues. Only time will tell.
Same here... my friends kid is on 2 and with the exception of a select few, I feel like 80% of the gym crosses to something or another... why during covid you are going to cross so many kids and worry about additional contamination is beyond me.
This is so common, so many people who I have known of who had it and not a single positive or positive antibody in the household. I would love to get some clarity.
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your family member, regardless of the reason, you are in my thoughts and prayers.
I am still being hopeful for nationals, but if it can happen, they need to waive the camp requirement... we are all on different schedules this season already, some allowed to practice, some not for several weeks at minimum. I just think that if we are lucky enough to have an NHSCC the camp...
I have to agree. I also can't see how large cities will open venues to this and even then will it financially be in their interest, because it costs enough to rent a hall in a convention center, a sports arena... I doubt colleges will allow just anyone in mass herds on their campuses - it will...
I am clearly quarantine bored.. but this means on a Junior team, someone could be 17 in the season.. someone born in 2004 will be 16 in 2020.. if they are already 16, they will be 17 in 2021.. doesn't someone see how crazy that is?
THIS is what I am seriously saying.. it is not just cheer. Soccer seasons and travel volleyball are trying to be saved too. It's many youth sports/activities.
I do agree it may be time to pull the plug, but it's not just cheer.
I'm with the unpopular opinion too...I feel like if those can practice and continue, it will put athletes and others at risk of the illness, but those that can't will then possibly have to unsafely get athletes back up to peak shape for a Summit.. so in either situation, there is no right...
If we could even have a conversation w/ our band director that doesn't end w/ him being selfish and thinking his band is god's gift to the world and we are just peons in his kingdom would be great.... this is a hard pass
I had a kid w/ acrylics for a formal... she was catching a transition in a pyramid and her hands were not flat, nail completely pulled off. I had asked her to remove them quite a few times, her mom even felt as if it was OK. Well, fast forward, we wasted an hour of that practice plus the next...
