I have to say that i've never been to Worlds, but it is something i want to do. 5000 capacity seems like a very small venue for such a big event. It's probably more feasible to simply cut the number of teams competing, ergo less cheer parents/friends etc. BUT, that is not viable for the growth...

+1! I used to be able to sit on mine, had it cut when i was 13 because I used to get teased about it (amongst many many other things) at school and I was sick of how much it took to keep it neat and tidy. I still regret it even though my hair is below my boobs in length.
