I'm only 4'10" & I'm always a main base. It's totally fine for me though the taller side bases just have to learn to widen their stance & squat a little, it's no big deal for me.
I think there are a ton of super cute full tops & I know that personally I feel more comfortable in them but I also know girls who feel more comfortable in a crop top. I've never seen a crop top that I thought was too revealing (but I'm sure it's happened) I just wish they could make a rule like...
If you can try to shorten your last handspring, if it's too long it will make your momentum go all funky & then your layout will be really difficult. Also try to get a spot, even though you might not need it to get over it can really benefit your technique
trust your bases & try your best to attack every new skill as best you can.
being scared is totally normal & perfectly okay but you can't let your fear paralyze you!
Good Luck!!
omg here I go....
for me it was
-my coaches having zero knowledge of cheerleading
-our super un-cute old school, make even the skinny girls look fat, unis
-the fact that our school literally called us a joke
-5 hour practices because there were girls that couldn't figure out a freaking butt roll...
I understand that they are the rule making body for the sport but I think they should be more concerned with the athletics not the cosmetics. I personally don't think it is any ones place to tell anyone ever what they can & cannot wear anywhere. But that's just me.
I think this rule is incredibly dumb. It's the athletes stomach.....people really need to stop over sexualizing female body parts....like their legs, arms, shoulders, stomachs, etc. It's a stomach, that's where food goes to be digested, that's where their umbilical cord was attached to when they...
A Motown theme would be cute for the little ones, girls just wanna have fun themes are always super adorable for them as well.
This is probably beyond their years but I saw a mean girls themed team once (I usually don't like themed teams for older girls) but it was so cute & sassy.
my team uses the l'oreal glitter & I use revlon cream eyeshadows as a base. I love using them cause unlike eyelash glue I can actually get it off when I need to.
I keep my bow in a little box to keep it from getting crunched.
My makeup goes in it's designated baggie.
Shoes go in their case.
Hairspray goes in it's own closeable bag (trust me if that blows up for whatever reason you want it to be contained)
Hair ties, bobby pins, teasing comb, curling...
I had similar pain, but mine tended to shoot down my leg as well, turns out it's sciatica, which is manageable. You really should go to the doctors in case it's something more serious than a pulled muscle & until you can see someone about it I'd suggest not tumbling, jumping or over stretching...
