Using @momsy ´s post as my starting point... That´s what doctors usually say but in my experience they do not get the impact of the hit a cheerleader can get (like base/backspot get hit by a flyer coming down from a high basket toss)- they get the "got hit by an elbow" mostly because thats our...
In some recipes you can easily switch the chicken with tofu or similar. Just creative :).
CP and I (not vegetarians anymore but trying ) often throw salad, tomatos, cucumber, bell pepper, celery or whatever we have in the fridge into a tortilla wrap. Then add salsa or dressing or plain...
THIS. Better safe than sorry.
For me personally it´s not the conditioning which bothers me but the awkward one-on-one extra practices.
Conditioning isn´t fun especially if you´re not used to it. We had new people come in ... and quit after conditioning (although most people on the team do not...
So kids who are a "failure" in progression (i.e. their tumbling skills only?) are supposed to quit allstars and join rec and vice versa?
My personal opinion: That attitude from parents/coaches/industry in the long run will kill all of the positive side affects this sport definitely has and for...
@Official OWECheer Our coach did a great job with a little bit sassy and more elegant than sexy.
Our coach did a great job with a choreo (remember theme dance, no cheer choreo in this case) which was very little sassy (I´d say they acted more confident than sassy if that makes sense) and not...
CP (16) did a burlesque theme dance with parts of her cheer team for a fundraiser last year. They really loved it and you have some options (music, accessories, etc). I´ve been a little bit worried about being age appropriate but fortunenately no one ever raised a hand. They´d happily do it again!
My eyes hurt from this season´s thread and I do appreciate every "simple" uniform - pls pls let next season´s go back to clean athletic look with a little bit sparkle :)
While CP loves Nfinity as a company dearly she´s the happiest person since we switched from Evolutions to Last Pass 2.0 - no need to break them in (and breaking the Evos in lasted like forever and quickly afterwards you could see how fasten those will fall apart so we kept them as an comp only...
First year program? I´d skip the mesh, crazy cutouts, backless/strapless/choker types of uniforms and head over to the classy athletic ones like Rebel has in their game day section
That´s what I do with uniforms and/or delicate practice wear: lingerie bag, inside out and cold water program, liquid detergent for delicate fabric and reduced spin cycles, then lay flat to dry - never lost or faded anything and I wash this stuff after every use.
CP16 (girl) was a gym rat a few years ago but it definitely took physical toll like stress fractures, her knee pain got worse, and on and on. The following problems with struggeling to get/keep her spot and not getting pulled out of her corner when someone was needed wore her mentally out...I´d...
Last Pass 2.0 fit true to size - at least for my bigfoot CP with 9,5. She would´ve chosen 10 for the Vengeance, when she tried them on (but she doesn´t like them).
She wears a 9,5 in Evolutions but they were quite narrow before broken in (and now they´re half beaten up so they fit snugly )
Do I care if CP´s team win? Yesss, IF they weren´t one out of one in their division.
It meant more to me in our early years - now having a 16yo with a long list of injuries in her career and a lot of ups and downs, good and bad experience- the win doesn´t mean that much to me as the experience...
