I'm truly amazed at how innovative Top Gun routines are year after year. When I first saw the routine I had to rewind a couple of times just to see how some things were done. And then I was in love once again.
Mine was Cheersport - simply for the fact that there was some kind of video coverage. Loved staying up late at night chatting with people from around the world, crying together when the livestream didn't work right when a fan favorite was on stage, and then cheering for all of the teams.
Orange
I don't know, but something is missing in their routine for me, can't put my finger on it though. They do have impressive skills and I can't wait to see the routine when it's cleaned up.
Steel
I'm absolutely in love with their routine. Even though large coed currently has only 3...
First of all: prepare yourself to have an incredible year ahead of you. I loved my year in the US - it was definitely a life-changing experience.
I guess the state you should go to depends on your definition of "good". Do you want to cheer at a "big name" gym? Or do you not care about the name...
I'm no expert, but once had tendinitis before a big comp myself. I did use a splint during any non-cheer time to not aggravate the condition more, and then after the competition, I did take enough time off from cheer to let my hand heal completely. I was lucky as it wasn't a chronic condition...
Does anyone already know of non-US teams that were able to defer their bid to Worlds 22? Where are they from and what division will they compete in?
Feel also free to add any teams that qualify throughout the season as I would love to see some support for the non-US teams at Worlds.
Even those "true beginner type events" will soon have teams there that are far too advanced because gyms want to win.
You can't influence which kids make what team at the gym level, therefore gyms can continue to put level 3 athletes on a beginner level 1 team just to up their chances of winning.
That's truly a tough one.
Since I'm not familiar with the scoresheets of Varsity Canada I can only give some generic advice (sorry). Maybe someone from Canada who knows the rules can chime in with more specific help.
- write down what you absolutely need to have to hit the scoresheet (how many...
Electric Rays from the Halloween Jam
I rarely like dances, but I truly enjoyed this one. On top of that, the routine is truly amazing - a lot of difficulty and creativity.
First of all: I didn't know how much I missed cheer during the past year and a half until I watched the Showcase videos. I'm glad that there is a lot of "normal" again.
SE: I'll always love them, but I also can't wait for them to clean up some of their routine and change a couple of tiny things...
In order to help you I have a couple of questions for you:
- what age group are your athletes in?
- does everyone on your team have solid level 2 building skills?
- do I assume correctly that you have 2 stunt groups for this pyramid?
- since you tagged "Canada": which rules do you use?
- how...
