Unless the rules are different for D2 Summit, my daughter's team first got a Wild Card bid for the Summit and for that I know the Wild Card teams compete on Friday and 1st place moves right to finals on Sunday and 2nd place competes on Saturday. then my daughter's team won a paid bid but they...
I agree, 2 or 3 athletes I don't think would make a big difference but the only time though I can see Worlds crossovers giving one team an edge over another is if they say take 5 boys from a level 5 team and put them on a level 4 team. I think that can make a difference especially if they are...
My kids have done all star cheer since they were in 1st grade and through high school (my youngest is a senior in high school so it is her last year since she will be away at college next year) and they have loved it. The cost is a major factor and something that your mom will need to know up...
They don't seem too easy to get at the comps we have gone to that are offering them (which isn't many) plus the Summit bids are not given based on top score, it is based I have been told by percentage of perfection so that to me is a gray area. So my daughter's team took a Wild Card so they...
thanks! It seems silly to me that you can't upgrade a Wildcard to an At Large bid at least. Summit bids are so hard to get I wonder if anyone has ever declined a Wild Card bid :-)
sorry if this was answered on earlier pages but can anyone explain why a wild card bid cannot be upgraded to an at-large but it can only be upgraded to a paid bid?
Passion is going to be just as successful at CEA as they were at ICE (same with the other team that followed her). Especially since it sounds like most if not all of the girls followed Kaley....same girls, same talent just a different uniform. They have a point to prove especially now and will...
IF a whole team followed her, do you think they would use their routine from their old gym and maybe just tweak it a bit? They would need new music. or they could do a whole new routine in 3 weeks. I'm also wondering if the parents already paid for all of the competition fees at the old gym...
right, it was like the very last Worlds bid competition but I was so impressed that they got it together enough and everyone was on the same page as far as the cost to go to (was it Nashville then?) and then turn around and go to Worlds. so exciting for them
UA usually gets enough high school kids to have 3 different level teams. There is always at least 1 level 5 team and last year they had a large sr co-ed 5 team that decided to go for a bid at one of the last competitions in Myrtle Beach. They got the bid and they turned around and went to...
I would be fine with requiring ALL level athletes to get a waiver to leave a gym once competition season starts. I feel very bad for the kids and parents of the kids that are staying on the teams that possibly half of their team is leaving. Now they will have to rework the routines and all...
so glad I cancelled my order before Saturday morning! I had ordered it assuming there was the VOD (should've read through all of the Fierceboard comments first!) :-( I sent an e-mail within the hour telling them I wanted to cancel my order and how disappointed I was there was no more VOD (I...
I am really disappointed in the set up this year. I liked when they had different prices, I cannot sit at my computer all day to watch videos and I used to go on hours after teams competed that I wanted to watch. That format worked best for me! BOOOO USASF for changing the format and charging...
It's like each judge needs a stenographer! The judges just speak into a tape and someone else records what they say and then they don't have to take their eyes off the routine to look down to write plus then that won't miss anything! Judging is just all soooo subjective. :-(
I don't think there is ANY competition that you are going to please everyone. It's the hardest part of the sport, you see a team that hit and was clean and then a team that drops stunts wins and gets a Summit bid. Times like this I wish my daughter was in swimming or track...something that is...
thank you all for this video! I had not seen it myself (I get too nervous watching teams against my daughter's teams lately) but to my untrained eye it does look like a standing full but in slow motion I can see that it is something different. Guess I don't understand why this is in the...
okay I looked up what a corkscrew is...the boy did a standing full....I don't know why we were told it was a corkscrew but there was no deduction for throwing it on a level 4 team
