Pfffffffffft. They can try... But that trophy is OURS.
These other states all come in with their little prep level drama (Georgia, Florida... That's you guys). Then you have your full season, allstar level drama teams (NC, Cali... That's you guys).
But give it up. We still hold the lifetime...
I think the best way to put it is the same way I feel about Fruitvale... It's horrible to say, but when I finished it, all I thought about for weeks was, "Ugh. I didn't want to know the world was like this. Knowing it on a subconscious level is one thing. *Knowing* it is different."

Well, I'll admit I don't read a lot of novels in that genre, but because I sometimes find myself talking to people who don't "get" how generational poverty works. Their answer is always "It's not that complicated. Finish school and get yourself out of that situation."
I just felt that book...
Yes to Precious/Push. The struggle in the book was just... Ugh. I tell everyone I ever meet who says dumb ish about people (read "black people") needing to just "go to school and make their lives better" to read that book. I know they won't, but it's just eye opening for anyone who doesn't...
Boyz in the Hood yes! That and New Jack City just left me so depressed.
Truthfully, I have had Fruitvale on my watch list for so long, and I can't bring myself to do it. I just can't. I know that's too head-in-the-sand but I just know I can't handle it. [emoji24]
For me, I'll add The Lovely...
First off I'm sorry you and your mom are going through this. [emoji22]
But I have to say, we don't have free health care and it's the same way here. Just different people causing the problems - the insurance companies won't pay for anything because they're more interested in saving money than...
Question. I'm going to this book signing tomorrow for Tom Delonge. It's at 7pm. Is this some dumb thing where I have to go at like 7am to wait in line (because he seems like his fans are kinda crazy) or can I just go at like 5:00 or 6:00 and be fine?
November is fine. I mean... You'll be cold...
That's probably because young girls don't realize the importance of bras. When I was 17-18 I also thought my boobs were gonna sit right where they were forever. Ha. Not so much. If I'd known then what I know now... I probably would have worn better bras.
Most girls are worried about looking...
What in the world...
I cannot even imagine a life without Pearl Jam. I don't know that I actually ever go an entire day without listening to them.
I don't know that it's an age thing. Everyone I know in that age range knows Pearl Jam. Maybe it's a style of music thing - I don't know that...
I don't think so, but I feel like they will. Their open gym tends to be mostly on the older end I think (never been obviously, just what I've been told). Cp21 is going to go to one of their open gyms, and idp tumbles there - I can ask.

As the reigning Fierce Board queen of Chicago public transportation... I can tell you that all the cheer gyms except one are in the suburbs and she will just plain not be able to get there on public transportation. Believe me, I spent my first 2 years here trying.
Cheer Destiny is in the city...
I have had tests that were literally just a list of the menu item and we had to write out all ingredients (no measurements, just ingredients - except like msteal said the portion sizes on proteins). But I've also had multiple choice ones more often.
You'll be fine! This is a very long process...
My only 2 cents for this thread is that I'll vouch for the op that the Chicago police legit could not care less about some little drug dealer. I promise. And they DEFINITELY wouldn't do anything based on this little but of info and something so small time as selling at a oarty/rave.
Keep in...
Ha! Well last year it was so cold that my chocolate hardened back up before I could eat it. So that sucked.
We only did the 5k last year, but if you do the 15k you get a medal (shaped like a chocolate bar). My lovely child said she wants that medal, so we're getting it this year. I'm in no...
I'm running the hot chocolate 15k in November, and I've done half my training on the treadmill. It's fine to start, but if you're actually trying to run a real race, you have to do some of the training outside - running on concrete is WAY different than on a treadmill, especially on your joints...
I did too.
I'm just still not believing a 15 year old has saved up $8000. And if it was the kind of family that had that kind of cash flow, I doubt we'd have this thread, because she would already be having a sweet 16.
But it's neither here nor there to me. Obviously her parents have enough...
I don't have anything against you... I'd literally never heard of you until about half an hour ago.
I'm just more inclined to believe math than someone on a message board who may or may not even be a 15 year old girl.
Math: $8000 saved up from 12 years old to 15 years old. So that's about 3...
