I would be very surprised. And I believe those teams put up double based or assisted stunts. To count as unassisted, one person needs to hold the stunt by themselves. To me unassisted should be define as only one person touches the top girl from the time she leaves the ground to the time she...
It doesn't take a rule change to limit stunting, Varsity has already decided they do not want to see elite coed stunts. In order to qualify as an elite stunt in small coed, a division that can only have 4 males, you have to put up 6 single based one leg stunts. In medium it's 10 stunts with 6...
In the scoring system as written if two teams do the same three elite group stunt sequence. (1 and half up stretch, tic tic left stretch, tic tic back to right stech, double down for example) and one team does ball up stretch unassisted and the other does single based thigh stand, they will both...
I obvisiously don't think we will see thigh stands. I was just coming up with the worst case scenario. I think we will see a lot of assisted to hands, assisted extention, the side base letting go for two counts and calling that an unassisted coed stunt. That is no more an unassisted coed stunt...
They will be judged that way, but the same as the other group stunts in those categories. Coed teams can still do only group/all-girl stunts and be scored just as high as teams doing elite single based stunts. If you do three elite group stunts or three elite coed stunts, the range will be the...
Team A could do single based thigh stands and a three elite stunt group stunt and Team B does toss heel stretch and the same three elite stunt group stunt and these teams will both be in the high range on the score sheet.
The single based stunt gets you to the range. The three elite stunts...
I am talking about coed senior teams. For a coed team to get into the 8-9 range they are required to do aany single based unassisted stunt. After that they are judged just like the all girl teams.
*Single based, unassisted Stunt – any stunt whereas the top person is being held by a single base during a portion of the stunt sequence. The stunt must be held for an amount of time that proves the stunt group’s ability to maintain the skill without the assistance of additional bases and...
It says - any stunt whereas the top person is being held by a single base during a portion of the stunt sequence. The stunt must be held for an amount of time that proves the stunt groups ability to maintain the skill without assistance of additional bases and spotters.
I appreciate the unassisted coed section, but I'm not sure it went far enough. An elevator to the top where a guy just steps under it an holds it by himself for a second will be counted just as much as an unassisted toss heel stretch. I think all this does is make everyone do the bare minimum...
What I'm saying is the co-ed scoresheet for Worlds has points for traditional co-ed stunts, meaning one guy basing one girl. The all girl scoresheet doesn't have this requirement. If you choose to not do these stunts, you will not receive these point and the team that does will score higher...
So is making a different scoresheet with co-ed stunts discrimanitory? We don't make the girls do these stunts, so we are forcing the boys to act differently than the girls. This is not just a guide, it will almost certainly decide placements if you choose not to do co-ed stunts.
I don't understand how everyone has equated "limit theatrical movements" with an attack on homosexual males. I see nothing in the guidelines that talk about anyone's sexual orientation. There have been several posts on here saying "my son is straight and enjoys being a fierce dancer, ect". I...
