^^to each their own. Not a fan of the "I can hide an entire family of squirrels in my hair" do. She is a beautiful girl - a more natural look would be much better for her.

Cheer hair to me is like Christmas lights. I prefer it to look incredibly tasteful or over the top obnoxious. There is no Inbetween

Lol well she does have more hair than the rest of her team but she mostly stands out in the dance because she is center and her hair has seem to create quite the following.

A) my mother would never let me leave the house with hair like that...she would get on me if she felt my poof was too big at comps. I feel like massive cheer hair was kinda 2-3 years ago and going out of style. I'm sure she is a fabulous and talented athlete, but the hair is just distracting.
B) the boy's face in the first photo is cracking me up!

I think her hair would stand out regardless of where she is in the routine, lol.

Seriously though, you are right she stands out for being center dancer but IMO the hair is almost distracting it is so big.

I think if she likes her hair that way and she feels good about herself when she wears it like that, then she should do it that way.

More power too her, I could never do that. I can barely French braid my own hair on a good day.

I agree she can do it anyway she wants as long as the gym is okay with it. Just a bit too much for me. It makes me want to follow the hair all the while there is a good routine going on I am missing.

I'm not a fan of huge hair in general but what bothers me is that she's the only one who did her hair that big on the team. On the team picture, her hair looks bigger than all the other girls combined. It doesn't look very uniform to me.

At CP's gym a girl used to do her pouf huge and the coaches had to step in and tell her to tone it down.

For previous competition we did back combed ponytails and we all did it on the team bus. My team all were backcombed but just over the bow and it looked nice some in senior 3 went OTT and it looked too much

Since it's my daughters gym in question I'll tell what I know.

This is the hair for my daughters gym for every team but Cobras. The level 5 team has a few shoulder sits where the kids push off the girls head for the 1.5 ups which was squashing the poofs. So they decided to do the braid for them. I feel like because of that the others on Cobras don't do their hair as big as the rest of the team and she still does. They will make people with horrific/ no poofs fix it and girls with rat nests fix it. They want everyone to have the same hair. The other girls don't have as much as hair so theirs could not be as big as hers. Even if she toned it down some it would still be massive compared to everyone else. Especially on level 5 since most of them have shorter type hair and hers is extremely long. No one on the team has a problem with her hair and they love it. Our coaches do tell people want they want though and enforce it but when the kids hair on her team is all barely pass shoulders for the most part it won't get or stay that big

Also I may be biased but the hair that gets the most compliments on Cobras in comparison to hers is one of the nicest kids ... His poof is better than all the girls on the other teams lol

Ok a fierce pic of jumps and it's pretty good for a j3

I would say our gym has never been known for their jumps but this year they did jumps classes and asked that everyone did them and we have been working hard most everyone is spending at least 1 hour a week in a class dedicated to jumps as well as the jumps they do in practice

My daughter is 2 back a little to the right! She still has work but the difference this year for her alone has been incredible!
