whats the difference between wearing a sports bra with a closed back, and wearing the same sports bra with an open back

I was literally just thinking the same thing. It's a racerback just like a regular sports bra, so what's the difference?

It's not a regular sports bra so people who are more "gifted" still can't double up if they want to. I've never had a practicewear sports bra (varsity, GK, or GTM) that had enough support that I didn't have to double up. Why not just close the back so people can where whatever they want?

you could definitely double up. i didnt look too hard but found this one in about a few seconds!

problem is that that is a low impact bra

Things would be much easier if every athlete could choose the sports bra they want to wear freely, without being restricted by the design of their uniform. It was a good idea from WE to include a matching sports bra to the uniform, but it would have been even better not to have an open back IMO.

I can't tumble or jump with out a padded Victoria's Secret sports bra or it hurts like nobody's business. So I guess I would not be able to be on a team that's uniform doesn't support that type of bra. You can deny all you want and come up with "solutions" but it's a real problem that needs to be addressed. Uniform designers need to do some research about proper care of a women's breasts and the dangers of when they are not properly supported doing physical activities. Particularly when they are rather gifted.

Eta: every article I've looked at says it's cause strain in your tissues, neck and upper back problems, And......saggy boobs....and nobody wants that. [emoji1]

I haven't tried it but it does say medium impact. if you're doubling up my guess is it would be fine. I would be considered "gifted" and have an open back uniform. I wear a Victoria's Secret open back sports bra and it works great for me! but of course, everyone's different. im sure generals will be able to make it work

I mean props to generals for doing that instead of just a completely open back like many other teams. It's a step in the right direction, but everyone should be able to wear the bra they feel most comfortable in and not have to worry about it showing. This shouldn't even be an issue. There's zero reason for a uniform to have an open back anyway. This is a sport and people shouldn't have to worry about whether their uniform will allow for a bra or have to purchase a special bra to go under it. I'm not saying that we need to get rid of all creativity in uniforms, sparkle, makeup, bows, etc but we need to make uniforms more practical.

My boobs are huge and I had the only struggle trying to find bras I could double up on when I cheered because my uniform had cutout across the shoulders to make the top look like the points on a crown. I had to triple up on thin strap bras and tape the straps just so they wouldn't show and I would be uncomfortable as all heck until I could change. I would never be able to cheer now.

I hate that,from what I can tell, the front is covered in rhintestones and then the back is completely plain.

I'd rather the back be left plain but the the red and white accents continued to the back and made an upside down V with rhinestone accents along that V instead of completely covering it.

from what i can see i kinda like the onyxcats uniform already. i couldnt tell much from the panthers one, which makes me nervous as anything, i also feel like they intentionally posed the panthers uniform in a certain way so you couldnt see much at all and is a lot more close up and from the side so that makes me even more nervous as to what the rest looks like.
