All-Star Junior 5 At Worlds?

I hate the "what would you have to look forward to?" argument.

I believe plenty of juniors who competed at Worlds back when it was a thing (or on senior teams back before there was an age limit) still continued to cheer through their last year of senior eligibility. (And won many rings.)

What's the point of a j5 worlds if they already have summit? It wouldn't really be any different besides only having j5 teams there. I feel like there aren't enough j5 teams to have enough competition within each individual j5 division such as large j5.

It already happened with the Summit--Peppermint was a Mini team and competed up as a Youth team for a bid. (@cRayCheerDad wrote a really good book about it, actually.)

I'm actually for this. As long as there aren't more bids given out if they add a junior division. If talented junior 5 teams make it harder for below average senior level 5 teams im all for it.

But look at Irish dance. They start sending their kiddos to Worlds at 9. People stick with it.

I am guessing, if J5 is brought to Worlds, they will no longer have that division at Summit after 2016.

I noticed that three gyms in my area fielded J5 teams this season when they hadn't had J5 teams in years. It struck me as odd that all three of them did it at the same time. It made me think their reasoning for doing so was for something big like a new competition for J5 teams.

I think if they add J5 to Worlds there will be enough teams for each division. If you build it, they will come.

Because parents will pay for their kids to go to Worlds. More money for whichever company is running it.
