Ughh why america..... I might legit cry tears of sadness if donald trump becomes our next president.

I'll probably cry right along with you, and I'm not even American. It's just frightening to me that he can be doing so well. And from what I can tell he's simply crass and, for lack of a better term, insane.

There's sort an undertone of Fascism to what he says. The appeal to fear and bigotry, extreme nationalism. Its like he's angry at anyone who may stand in his way. He's anti-Muslim the way leaders in the 30s and 40s were anti-Jewish.

In short, it's terrifying to consider that he may be in charge of a country.

Opinion question.

The first weekend of March I broke my macbook display while traveling. I dropped it at a repair shop that Saturday, March 5. (My AppleCare is expired and Apple SERIOUSLY overcharges for repairs.) They said they don't handle those in store, so it would have to be sent away that Monday and take "a week to a week and a half, tops". I haven't heard back and I'm going out of town again this weekend and really need it back before then (I have a second job that is all after hours and all on the computer, so it's not just for recreational use.) They put me on with a technician who said it was back in his possession and the display is fine, but he discovered a camera issue that occurred during the repair process. So now they have to send it BACK to the initial repair techs to fix that, and wait for it to come back in. Probably going to be another week.

Should I ask for money off or something? I paid half when I dropped it off and the second half is due on pick up. The initial break was totally my fault of course. But it's gone WAY past the estimated deadline, and I'm pretty annoyed they didn't call to update me. Plus they admitted to straight up breaking it again, haha. I have no issues paying for the new display part that had to be replaced, but I'm not so sure I should be paying for the labor at this point.
If you're bold enough go ahead and ask for a discount because their additional repair lost you a week of work.

I'd say there's more than just an undertone of Fascism. A lot of his rhetoric is scarily similar to Germany in the 30s. Suggesting Muslims should be banned from the country, or be deported, or have to identify themselves. He's even used the words 'Muslim problem' to describe the situation, just as Hitler used the term 'Jewish problem' or 'Jewish question'.

When Trump initially announced his candidacy, I'll admit a part of me was a teeny bit excited, just because I thought it was going to be ridiculous and hilarious. But now, when I have Muslim friends who are genuinely scared of being persecuted under his leadership, it's not funny anymore, it's scary.

I'm scared for our country and pray about it everyday. Fix it Jesus!

Ugh i just dont understand the people that say they love him because hes not a typical politician, but its like come on people are you just going to vote every willy nilly person you see in the street to run the country you live in all because you dont like politicians.
People gave obama such crap for constantly going over congresses head to get things passed, but do you really think a guy like trump is going to take no for an answer ever. He'll end up doing the exact same dang thing. Even republicans in congress have come out and said they hate trump. All trump cares about is himself, his money, and his ego, i dont think he'll do us any good in the long run.

here's my opinion on Trump for anyone that supports him.

Trump has convinced you that unless you support him, you're a loser. Classic manipulation. If a husband talked to his wife the way he talks to most of Americans, he'd be labeled an abuser.
Never really thought of it that way. Interesting thought.

My biggest concern about Trump is that he gives people the confidence to be more racist than they already were (closeted).

My concern is that he is going to inspire hundreds of Dylann Roofs to mobilizes and handle us minorities. I've seen first hand what "Dylann Roof's" will do

His success is a testament to the true fabric of America. His supporters don't give a crap about his policies but rather they are rejoicing in the fact that they find confidence in his racism, bigotry and sexism...because they too are racists, bigots and sexists.

Trump is also preying on the most vulnerable....the poor and under educated...who have to rely on emotion and reaction because they lack intelligence to be rational.

Anyway. I've had to put off buying a house until after the RNC And possibly until after Election Day. I will not be in the south with a Trump president. I saw all last summer what our "race wars" are capable of and I know it will only get worse. I'm better than that.... I can't speak for the rest of the south

Trump is a businessman, not a politician. In my opinion, politicians usually have successful campaigns because they have very smart and aware advisors. I know that Trump has his views but I don't really think he'll stand beside all of them. He's already reversed his opinion on some of his unpopular views.

If he wins, I see Trump hiring the best advisors to basically do his job for him. Like a CEO, Trump gets the power/reputation/money and his advisors do all the hard work.

I'm with @nicolee that when Trump was first brought up I was excited just because I knew it would be comedy gold. Here and now---I'm not laughing anymore. I also hate to sound like 'that' American, but I will truly have to consider my residency in our country if he's elected. I just can't imagine our country getting through 4 years of him being in office without all out war and chaos breaking out; that is literally all I see when I imagine a future with him at the helm.

I know a few people who support him and it seriously boggles my mind. They all say it's because he's not a 'typical' politician, but I also find that these people are the same ones who judge the government based on the way they THINK it should work, not how it actually does. This is one of my biggest pet peeves in the world. One large supporter of him has also jumped into the, "It's the media's fault, they villianized him..." bandwagon but she does this with everything she disagreed with.

I also think the GOP needs to take some ownership in Trump's success as well---despite the nearly 2 page list of nominee's we have at one point, they failed to back anyone for a long enough period of time to over take him. I mean Ben Carson was also a unicorn among candidates but he wasn't going to win; the majority of Florida dislikes Rubio and he's likely losing his seat after one term because he has one of the worst records in the Senate of all time; Jeb---good ole Jeb, bwahahaha no. Most of NJ hates Christie so again he's out and the list goes on. Cruz (though I don't like him) might have had a chance, but if they wanted to go with someone who could hold his own, speak intellectually and fit the bill of what a President looks like (not gender related, just being put together) I would have put my money early on Kasich. Doesn't mean I'd want him to win, but I think he would have had a better shot come November then Trump will.

My biggest fear, I think right now, is that polling indicates Trump loses regardless of who the Democrats nominate. But, the longer Trump goes on the more manipulation time he has and frankly, he's too Hitler-ish for me. Hitler went ignored and/or pandered to for way too long before he became the power he was and this is like a micro level of that same scenario.

Trump terrifies me. I've seriously reconsidered friendships with people openly supporting him because there is so much wrong with his views.

Like 20 years ago he joked about lying his way to presidency... surprise, surprise. I don't like Cruz, but the fact that he publicly said if Trump was the republican nominee he couldn't vote for him speak volumes.

I don't disagree with any of this. The concern is his supporters. Trump will never spit on me and call me a slur....but his supporters will

He can change his opinion on his unpopular views but he's already put that hateful
Rhetoric out and there's no taking it back....especially since that's why so many have gravitated toward him.

I caucused in Kansas as a republican, and I could have made a drinking game out of how many times I heard "I'm just tired of politicians". I would have been drunk by 11:17 and I got there at 11.

I basically placed an "anti-Trump/Cruz" vote and voted for Kasich. I don't love him, but I'd prefer him to those manipulative scumbags any day of the week.

I'm more moderate than anything, but I hate that I'll basically be forced to vote democrat in November because whoever the republican nominee is will suck more than the democrat nominee (probably Hillary).
