I was just there for the weekend, well like two weeks ago lol. I'd recommend seeing a Broadway show. So great. We saw Les Mis

If you see a Tibetan monk who speaks no english and he asks you to hold his coin, dont. He'll expect you to pay him for holding it.

Yes, this is a real tip brought to you by a real life experience.

Other than that I'd make a plan of what you want to see/accomplish and try to stick to it. It's so easy to lose hours in NYC. I've stayed in Queens the times I wasn't staying with friends, you can find decent priced hotels there.

Shows are fun too, like @BuegeSmalls said! Matilda is usually decently priced and it's closing day was just announced so it's days are numbered (see it while you still can!). Plus it's a musical without being too musical-ly.

Make sure you bring one of those phone charger packs that can charge a phone atleast twice. You'll probably be using your phone to navigate, check train times, take pictures, etc and your phone will probably die multiple times.

Thank you both! I actually saw a couple of Tibetan monks in London the other day looking a bit shifty, so maybe that's moved over here haha.
A plan makes sense, and I'm a bit of a list freak so I'll definitely be doing that. Going to go check out which shows are on too :)

I have to work close tonight. I need someone to update me with what exactly Lemonade. I need to know? @ErinS

I'm so confused I can't explain it

It's definitely new music and a lot of spoken word

And like. Visuals like crazy. Touches a lot on race and the black woman. Alludes to cheating a lot.

A lot of like slave/reconstruction era visuals

Serena Williams appears....this song is going to be the anthem/quoted song

At one point she says "you better call Becky with the good hair" and "me and my baby gon be alright". Jay z cheating rumors apparently

Jay z appears.

I think this is all about her dad. At one point they show Matthew playing with blue

And I feel like a spotted Nia from dance moms and if it's her this trumps everything Maddie has ever done. She wins.

Her album is on Tidal
Yessss. I had a feeling this was gonna happen tonight. But tidal sucks and Apple Music is where it's at. So I used my school email to sign up for another free trial [emoji23] you're the real mvp tonight! I can't wait to go home and watch one of the reruns of lemonade
