I Dont see Peyton or am I blind? Is she on a new cali team?
I'm not sure if we are talking about Peyton who was on steel last year but if we are I did see a tweet a couple of days ago of her back at stingrays so I'm not sure what that means.

I'm sorry. I mean the flyer who replaced someone a few years ago at NCA, and had some trouble this past year day one.

I've seen her in a video with stingray spice.

He seems like a nice kid and all and I don't know his situation but in general what are we really teaching kids as parents and coaches if we just let kids hop on planes to travel across the country just in hopes of globing? You should cheer just because you love to do so, not because of what you can win. I know this is a touchy subject and there are unique circumstances for every situation but when will we honestly acknowledge what we are doing the sport we love. You can't complain about this generation of entitled kids when we are the beast that enables it everyone needs to learn how to not win. Again this isn't intended to be an attack on the young man but his interview kind of rubbed me the wrong way. 12 years ago when he walked into Step 1 he wasn't an elite athlete level 5 athlete but the coaching staff didn't just close their doors to him and shun him they made him into one and then to thank them he walked out. I know the idea of gym loyalty is a divisive topic but I feel like it matters and eventually we will reap what we've sown.

i get cali smoed reaps the benefits of being able to cherry pick athletes from all around the US because of the shows success. But it just comes off as like their lower level athletes never advance fast enough to be on cali level 5 teams, i just find that concerning.

* is a two hour distance from san marcos gym and smoed gym make that much of a difference in how much level 5 talent they can find.
Or does large coed and LB pull in talent from other places as well.

I agree with you. I have never understood why people will drive hours and hours to be on "that" team when scholarships or anything rarely come from cheer. To each his own and everyone decides what works for their family.
