Right. Maya was exactly who I was thinking of. "Bad" things happen to these characters but nothing causes them to evolve. Maya is who she was from the start

I watch soaps, which are nothing without character development. Even the other HS based shows I watch have character development.

And since this is a cheer board, I feel like I need to stress the need for Spirit Squad.

TNG full episodes from season 1 and 2 are on Youtube. I know some streaming sites have all of TNG to watch but the sites are not very legal.

Not at all! Like as much as I hated Goth Ashley, it was a dramatic change from who she used to be. Or how Manny was second fiddle and then went all bad girl. Paige becoming more nuanced after the assault. I just feel like these kids go through all this drama and are still the same people they were when we met them.

Maya's meltdown was a missed oppurtunity imo. Yes her depression was because of all the mess she's gone through but it escalated very quickly.
Speaking of Paige and the assault, she (Lauren Collins) made a brief appearance on a recent episode of Bull on CBS where the character she played was the victim of a college rape ....

I was always an Ashley fan. I even could stand her during her goth phase.

I am actually intrigued by where they are taking Maya this season (I'm about 7 episodes in now so have no clue how it will end up). I was shocked that she said she still did not know how Cam died because no one would tell her. WTH?

I didn't like Ashley until she left for Europe and came back and even then I already mildly liked her

And honestly I don't know how Cam died. I'm assuming he slit his wrists. I know Clare and Eli found him but I don't explicitly recall the cause of death being mentioned? Even still if the cause of death was withheld from Maya, it was never an important/obvious/mentioned(?) plot that is worthy of being brought up 3/4 years later. They could have done more with it if they'd wanted to

Based off Eli's reaction, I assumed he hung himself. Easier to see from a distance. I wonder if they got negative feedback from Claude's suicide, and wanted to make it as vague as possible.

I still can't get over that they got Colin Mochrie to appear in one of the movies.

I went back and watched and to me it looks like Eli and Clare's eyes are looking low. And at one point the camera angle is low, so I'd assume cam was down on the ground.

Guess we're as clueless as Maya

See I thought it was clear he hanged himself, now (without going back and watching) I don't know why I would have thought that.

Nope. Not at all. And then in the following episodes Eli has a nightmare about blood coming through his door and then covering him in bed. And then when he goes to the secret paint party, he sees a bucket of red paint and it gets knocked over and he freaks out and takes X or whatever

So I would assume blood was a trigger and he found Cam in blood

LMAO!

And I figured Cam had slit his wrists? Theyou used a low angle shot when Claire and Eli found him. But I find it interesting that Maya's hallucinations were more centered around him being about to jump over the stair railing. I don't recall her seeing blood. I guess that happens with PTSD? Traumatic memories morphing into terrifying hallucitations that don't exactly mirror what was witnessed?

The scene with Snake finding Claude's body was brilliantly done. Shocking and heartbreaking, without being too explicit. I think the nature of Cam's suicide made it hard to do a scene that gave us a definite cause of death without freaking peoople out too much, it could have been done, but I guess the reaction to Claude dissuaded them. They could have included the silhouette of a foot or hand in a lower corner of the shot or something. Actually, it would have been better if they had given us a scene of him planning beforehand, like with Claude keeping the gun in his locker. If anything, Claude's death was more gruesome but like I said before they probably didn't want to risk upsetting too many people . Think of all the other shows centered around murder that are directed at teens. Pretty Little Liars, Scream Queens (let's be honest, teens do watch these shows). Shouldn't have been too much of a problem, but hey.

Does/did anybody here watch the War at Home? I recently found it on YouTube and it is SUPER funny. They use a cutaway format that allows them to inject tons of humor and it's fantastic.

fun vent from this morning, me and husband go to Planet smoothie for drinks, they make his wrong and have to remake it and decide to charge him for both, thoroughly pissing him off. I drop him off at work, and head home with his screwed up smoothie and mine, i stupidly carry both in one hand and get two steps in the door and trip over the dog greeting me and drop both on the kitchen floor, half of it ends up on the dog. LOL, im scared to tell him he wasted $10 on two smoothies for no reason.
As pissed as i was i laughed far to hard at the fact that the dog was covered in dark purple smoothie, considering he is a white furred dog.
bathed him, but still couldnt get some of the purple off his feet, hoping husband wont notice and ask me what happened. :banghead:

Dang it. Now I'm going to have to go back and watch. I have no clue why I thought he ganged himself.

@Official OWECheer Claude's death and Snake finding him was such an underrated moment on teen tv. I still get chills when I think about it.

I can't believe I have to live in a world where Donald Trump is the president and Clemson is the National Champion.

Ayyyyyye but look

Whenever a team's music gets cut off at a competition and the crowd starts counting and when they get to dance the crowd speeds up like 5x regular speed and always imagine the scene when her parents died in Superstar because the record skipped.
