Doubling out of an Arabesque < Scale < Scorp < Heel Stretch < Bow & Arrow. You might score a smidge higher for doubling out of a more difficult body position, but a double down isn't an elite skill and it's not worth stressing over an ugly Bow & Arrow double down when you have other skills to worry about hitting. Plus the technique score will likely take a hit. And it takes a lot of technique to do a good stretch double.
i thought doubling out was an elite skill for level 5&6 since they're the only ones that can double twist as a dismount (from one leg at least.)

My daughters likes the light weight jackets for a cover up. The have a zipper. So, it never messes up their hair.

Random question...

Why do some big gyms (Cali is the first one that comes to mind since it is local to me) never seem to have tiny/mini or even youth teams? I think the youngest team at Cali Livermore is a Y3? No level 1 or 2.

I am not sure that is correct, You are correct that they don't have a tiny or mini team this year but I think they have a Large Youth 1, a Senior 1, a large Junior 2, and a Senior 2, Youth 3, Junior 3, and a senior 3, junior 4, senior 4, senior 5R and world teams.

Cali Livermore does have a Y1 team, as well as other level 1 and 2 teams. Most big gyms that I can think of have tiny/mini teams (CEA, Top Gun, CA, Stingrays, GymTyme, World Cup, Maryland Twisters, etc) Most of them having multiple tiny and mini teams.

I didn't realize they have a Y1 team this year.

It's only some of the big gyms I notice this at, Cali is the one closest to me. In years past the lowest level team they had was junior age. The Y3 was new last season, not sure about the Y1.

Cali LV has level 1 and 2.

It all depends on the clientele. I think most young children begin on half year teams.

And with the addition of prep teams, a lot of them do that instead. Every gym is different, every location is different, every talent pool is different. Sometimes you just don't have enough kids of a certain age to create a team.

Random question- do worlds athletes have to be released from their prior gym if they aren't going to another worlds team at a different gym? Like if they go from a worlds team at one gym then decide they want to change gyms for whatever reason and end up on a restricted or a level 4 team do they still need to be released?

I don't believe so. I think the release is just for worlds (someone please correct me if I'm wrong)

hmmm... awkward, but thank you! do you think judges would take points off if teams didnt double out? like lets say the only way they dismounted was with a suicide, would they take off points for no double down or would they just say "well it's not required so whatever". well i guess i would be asking are they allowed to do that... but i guess i answered my own question lol

There's never any specific skill that is required, especially in stunting. But having variety in your skills (double down and a suicide, double up and a release or inversion up) increases difficulty because it's showing different elements.

Doing 4 at level skills with 2 elite gets you the minimum score of the high range, so you have to do more than the minimum to score well.
