Very disappointed to see Junior 5 competing in Hall A this year after being in the arena last year! Anyone else?

There's been years where they have and years where they haven't. Unfortunately not everyone can compete in the arena unless we want NCA to last a whole week haha. And there's already a little discussion about it going on in the NCA thread.

I feel all level 5's should be in the arena...JMO
I'm sure many lower level teams feel they should be in the arena as well. It is just not possible to fit every team in the arena. Fortunately most athletes who are on the younger level 5 divisions will likely be on a Worlds team one day and will get their opportunity to compete in the arena.

But my daughter was in the arena last year on a J5. It's a let down this year.

Yes. One could argue:
*Special Athletes should be in the arena so they can feel as important as a Worlds team.
* Y5 needs to be in the arena because by gosh they are 8 and have fulls.
*Level 1 should be in the arena because BWOs are just as impressive as doubles and by gosh they need to be in the arena.
*Senior 3 should be in the arena because a number of them will age out having never been on a Worlds team so by golly let's put them in there.
*Junior 5R should be in the arena because hey, they're preparing to be the future of a Worlds team right?

The list could go on forever. It's likely no slight against them, but they probably logistically need the biggest space for the teams who draw large crowds.

My kid competed Saturday and Sunday last year. Competing Monday and missing additional work and school this year is a let down for me - but life isn't fair. I know it's a bummer but I'm not sure what you expect the EP to do?
My daughter competed in one of the halls her first NCA and it was still an amazing experience for her.

Yes - the arena is already over capacity for the worlds teams as it is. It would be very difficult to put them in the halls.

Not asking the EP's to do anything....just saying my daughter is disappointed.
