What company was doing the performance photos? I didn't get a chance to look at them while we were there so I was wondering if you could find them on their website??? Also we were there from 730 am yesterday to 830pm, we got hungry around 6pm and there wasn't anything open??? We were so hangry by the time we left!!! Luckily our Uber driver was super nice and took us to in and out burger (our first time) !!

Action Moments

Just getting home now and here is my NCA 2017 thoughts...
1.We are a program that always travels together and the entire program goes to every performance of every team. And as long as that makes most comp days I find it's one really important lesson for my CP to learn especially being a worlds kid that every level and every kid in the gym is just as special as her and this year we couldn't do that.

Last competition I went to, the most popular divisions were youth 1 and 2. The place was packed!! And everyone from each gym usually comes to cheer on the lower levels. It is amazing and cute!

apparently he was removed from NCA yesterday and banned from all events.
It did not stop him from remaining at the event. He was private messaging girls last night saying he was in the convention center. The fact that he is so adamant about continuing to stalk teenage girls even after being removed from the arena is concerning.

Ew.

Have people gone to the police?

I can tell you that while I am not sure what the security situation is like at a HUGE comp like NCA, I am generally not happy with the caliber of security at most of the smaller company comps my HS squad attends.

Something to think about when we are dealing with this type of thing.

I'm aware that the average assault is perpetrated by a coach or someone the athlete is close to. However, this looks like grooming behavior to me.

NCA is the only comp we've been to all year that they don't search bags going in. It's been the least secure competition all year.

I was really surprised that bags weren't searched. We just attended an NCA comp in St. Louis 3 was ago and we had to go through metal detectors and bag searches.

They weren't searched at Cheersport either and going back to back weekends, I appreciate that. It may not be the safest, but appreciate being able to carry in a water bottle and a drink for CP and some snack bars. One of those security people made me throw my energy drink away when I tried to walk into a hall with it at NCA. "No outside food or drinks allowed." I noticed they sold Monster there, it was a Rockstar.

One year we had to throw away our coffee because it wasn't Starbucks (we brought it from the hotel)

Scary and funny. Is there a clear bag policy at any of these comps? I remember we had a thread about competition security last year.

Not that I was aware of. I brought my bag of food, my daughter back pack was full of snacks and I have my large camera and no one said a thing to me. I've only been subjected to one bag search this season

I feel like they should ramp up on security, especially being that its NCA.
