Does anyone have experience with threadless sequins? We're looking into new game-day uniforms next year because I harassed like twenty people in my family for their tax credit, and I want to add bling to the uniforms. Rhinestones are just a little too expensive, but the rep suggested threadless sequins instead. Was just curious what everyone's experiences were with them (how well they hold up, how they look under the lights, etc.). We'd get a "threadless sequin burst" around the AFHS on the chest if we did it, so if one or two fell off it wouldn't be terrible. They'd probably be worn about 6 times per year at the football games, since we have separate winter uniforms and another shell for the month of October, and my goal would be to get them to last 4 years.
We had threadless sequins on our motionflex warmup jackets. MOST of them lasted IF the kids/parents took care of them correctly. We did have some that came off, but weirder is that we had some that shifted. Like you could tell where they used to be, and they warped. Varsity brand.

Huh very good to know, I'll keep that in mind, since my school uses Varsity. Presently we're looking at either threadless sequins on our short sleeved football top, which we wear August/September, or getting a breast cancer ribbon on the back of our long sleeved top, which we use in October and for some basketball games. If the sequins for Varsity are prone to warping, I may just go that other route. Thanks for letting me know about the sequins!

This is a prototype of our uniform - I don't know why the arms look Ombre but the arms/shoulders will be solid red
There are stones going from the neckline down the arms -- and the back as well

We had the option of doing the burst around the school name but I figured if we want to do a sparkle bow, and theres already sparkles on the arms - as much as I LOVEEEE sparkle.. we are still on a budget ahah !

and I only covered the school name because I sort of want it to be a surprise to certain people that might be on here or know of my school :p

I'm just so excited because its a total new look for the team and people wont be expecting such a uniform from our program !

We are fundraising for every cent of them so its going to be awesome!

Can't wait to see it for real!

Threadless- we had Down the leg of our warm ups and as lettering for basketball uniforms- awesome- looks better than some rhinestone ... picks up light awesome. Never had an issue with it.

ME EITHER!!
I'll definitely post a picture - it will be a while though because we are fundraising for them so we wont order them until we have enough money :)
Our Varsity Rep has been super awesome and patient with all of my questions and changes so shoutout to Varsity ! :)

I believe this design was posted today on the allstar uniform thread. Different colors though. It looks good!

We had them on all star uniforms worn for 2 seasons. All in all they held up really well. By the end of season 2, the sleeves on CP's uniform were way too tight and she lost a few from there, but not enough to effect the look. If they are washed properly, they hold up well. You cannot put fabric softener on them or they get dull over time.

I think because the uniform I posted above is a lot of red, I think we are going to break it up by doing a solid white rhinestone bow, with small black accents - and MAYBE black cheer shoes

Thoughts?

I've only seen the black cheer shoes look good one time in high school cheer, and it was with a team that had black crew socks as well. 10/10 would recommend if you're set on the black shoes, but the idea of the white bow with black accents is really smart, in my opinion.

For whatever reason (maybe because it's not "normal") black shoes draw my attention to feet, Particularly non-pointed toes. I don't know if that's just me or not, but a team that we competed against this past season had black shoes and I really noticed the kids with flexed toes.

These are the uniforms we are looking at going into next year for football games - the threadless sequin burst I was asking about would be around the AFHS for the short sleeved top, and the long sleeved top we're debating adding sparkle to as well (though we aren't sold yet). Here in AZ we pretty much never want to wear long sleeves during football season so odds are it'll be used for basketball games more often, and I just don't think the sparkle will really be seen in there.

Both uniforms are MotionFLEX, so if that changes how well the sequins hold up, please let me know! Also any comments are welcome - we're using this one because it's part of a package, and after everything is under $200 all bundled up, but we can make changes to the color scheme and letters and everything. We're just looking for a change after the GTM uniforms we had that fell apart after a year and a half -_-

I definitely notice the same thing! Drives me crazy sometimes.
