I just heard that UA is closed for good, there never was a new owner and the remaining coaches and athletes were told this week. Sounds like a lot of coaches are headed to Ice.

Another rumor I heard is Ice bought them, but not sure if this is true.

The gymnastics company that was renting space had to leave and relocate with no notice. This is confirmable on Facebook so I invite you to do that.

I am sure there is more I haven't yet been told...

Chicagoland Cheer, never a dull moment.

UA just posted on Facebook that they hoped everyone enjoyed their summer break and are excited to see athletes at practices and classes tonight...

Ha! It's pretty different then what some current/now former coaches are saying on theirs...

Guess we will see what truth is soon.

Just curious - what other world's gyms closed?
In the last 4-5 years in Chicagoland:
Cheer Command
UA South
Cheer Illinois Athletics(CIA)

Keep in mind other than Ice, UA/GTIL and Cheer Extreme there are only a couple other small ones so losing close to one per year is a big deal and this doesn't include the mergers that have happened in this time.

UA South and Cheer Command merged and became Gymtyme Illinois.

This is 10000% inaccurate, people running those gyms are/were involved but this was not a merger of either. UA South and Cheer Command did not exist when GymTyme Il was formed.
Cheer Envy became UA South for the 2014-2015 season. Cheer Command existed at that time as well. An email was sent in March of 2015 announcing that UA South would turn into Gymtyme IL the following season, which it did. Cheer Command closed at the end of that season. While they didn't technically merge, many of the coaches from CCR did go over to GTIL, and CCR closed at the end of the 14-15 season. Both UA South and Cheer Command did in fact exist when GTIL was formed.

Is it just me or do we need a flow chart to try and understand All Star Cheer in IL?

Please provide more proof. As in links and more information as their social media indicates the opposite. I'm not saying I don't believe you. I'm just curious I don't see any evidence to support your claims.
