Oh I do. Just things that don't involve flipping my body over lol, because running marathons is so much less strenuous (jk). Getting back into cheer after 5 years off was hard, though I don't envision going back to it in 5 more years when I'm in my 30's, so that shouldn't be an issue.
Thankfully being in a field where exercise is a part of the job (or really IS the job) is helpful.

Thinking about trying out to be a UCA staffer this summer. Anyone on here have any experience with staffing for UCA or have any advice about it?

I went back to cheer after a 6 month break, and yesterday when I was tumbling I hyper extended my elbow i felt a pop. I can move my elbow, its not broken or dislocated, but definitely stiff and sore from hyper extending it. Anyone have this happen before, any suggestions on getting it healthy? I'm icing it and taking ibuprofen, I don't feel like it's bad enough to go to the walk in clinic. Ugh

This happened to me! When it happened the pain was pretty bad, but subsided pretty quickly, although it was kinda achy and a smidge swollen. I went to the doctors office just be safe, and they told me to rest it two weeks. After two weeks I jumped back in right away, and I was doing okay, but then a few months later it happened again and I went to the doctor again and ended up tearing ligaments and spent the summer in physical therapy. I probably did not take enough care the first time and ended up injuring it way worse later on. I also was a backspot, so I didn't have constant pressure on it like if I were a base.
I don't want to scare you, but I would definitely proceed with caution. Hold off on tumbling if it hurts then ease your way back in, I would not recommend jumping right back in like I did. And I would recommend getting it looked at if you can.

Yeah i am worried about going back and hurting it again!! I think I’m gonna go to the doctor, it looks like it’s swelling more. Thanks for your advice!!!

I've done that, changing my mind mid skill on a trampoline and stopping my landing with my hand (hurt my elbow). Go slow on coming back, to ensure you're fully healed. Do you have a Physio or Chiropractor you could see?? I trust mine to deal with my sports injuries before I ever go to a doctor. Mine do a lot of active release, acupuncture and there soft tissue work to help it heal faster

If you have access to an athletic therapist, or have coverage (I don't know how much they are where you live. They're about $50 a treatment where I live) they would be your best bet. They can treat, give exercises and understand tumbling and sports because they're trained in sports rehab techniques. A doctor would likely just tell you to rest it and you'll be fine. AT (or physio) will give you exercises to strengthen to prevent it from happening again :)

Do any FB have any experiences with crossfit? My ultimate goal is to drop my gut but I also know I need to tone and build muscle but I do want to see some pounds falling off in the meantime.
