I would like to agree, but they turned a blind eye to the Cali athlete who was doing drugs in uniform prior to competing and she was front and center at worlds on the mat and in interviews, so I don't see any gym getting sanctioned for anything.

I'm about 99% that was a different center flyer, only because in a picture of Blops with the banner, her one friend still on the team is seen facetiming her so she could be in the picture (which made me laugh a little)

And now I know exactly who we talking about. But if she was facetiming her at worlds she clearly wasn't on the team anymore......

No it’s the same flyer. The other girl was a base.

She competed at worlds. Center flyer and the spokesperson for the team for all interviews.

I was always confused about why the base was removed but the flyer was allowed to compete? Unsure if that's actually how it went down, maybe the base chose to leave, but either way I remember being super confused.

It's only a matter of time before Deadspin or Barstool get a hold of this and blow this whole thing up. Especially with his lame response as he was sitting right there while they were using a Beer Bong, there is no credible way he didn't see that, let alone the odds that he could have provided it.
This. They wrote a whole article (at least) on the CCU cheer scandal. People would rush to click on that type of thing.

I once saw a topless pic on Twitter of an athlete (most likely underage, to make things worse) from a big gym covering her chest with two Worlds medals. I was horrified. Some of the things people are willing to post in uniform are just... ugh.

If u r in uniform, you are representing a business and should be punished accordingly for terrible choices!

It is Scott Foster and you are correct that he was/is associated with Cheerlebrity.

He released a statement saying that he wasn't aware the children were drinking alcohol and that he regrets how naive he was. He has put himself on leave for 1 week including this weekends competition.

He didn’t inhale?

ETA: those of you not old enough to remember the Clinton administration may scroll past without stopping.

Not with Rockstar, but saw something along the same lines posted to twitter last night. A Cheer Athletics swooshcat had christmas socks under his uniform. In this 7 second video, one of his female teammates had managed to call him "special ed" once and say "you look special ed" twice. I do not want to post the link to the video because it includes the handles of the individual athletes involved. Even though they are in the wrong, I still do not believe in personally exposing a minor. However, if you would like to take the time of day, the video is on @CABlackOps twitter account. I cannot believe that athletes of this caliber say these things, let alone are thoughtless enough to post them. Especially with Cheer Athletics SuperKatz being one of the most well known and beloved special needs teams in the industry.

there is a big difference between breaking the law with underage drinking and the offensive words of teenagers

listen, teenagers say stupid things and make stupid mistakes, im not about holding a certain group of teens above others just because their athletes. Lets not make this a thread to call out every athlete whos ever posted something stupid on social media......

i also find it comical that these cheer anons like calling out programs athletes on twitter and what not for questionable things, but the anons alone are the epitome of poor behavior in every sense.

And I can obviously recognize that. However, I was wondering about who again is accountable and what actions get taken. Obviously teenagers say stupid things, we have all been there. However, when you are in uniform representing a company who has an extremely successful special needs program, what actions are taken? Should coaches get involved? Also, I personally believe that as athletes representing a program, you do need to hold yourselves to a higher standard than just the average joe. On my college team, we spend every summer jamming into rookies heads that even when they aren't wearing anything from the school or program, people know who they are and that they are responsible for every action and its impacts.

I’ve been thoroughly entertained by these parents on here using their faceless identity to bash teenagers they don’t even know myself. They’re no better than the kids they’re bashing.
