First time attending Cheersport this year. A few questions:
- How does this compare size wise to WSF Louisville? We've attended that and were overwhelmed by the crowds!
- We are at the Hyatt Regency. Can anyone recommend restaurants in Downtown that take group reservations?
- Any other tips for newbies would be greatly appreciated!

Much bigger than WSF. The entrance to the actual stage is a 15min walk. Bring your most comfortable shoes. Avoid taxis and uber if you can the rates go up and your stuck in them because of the traffic. The Marta is across the street and runs super fast. Hard to find dining downtown but the Ferris Wheel and I think its called Xgame holds big crowds and has simple bar food and lost of games but try and reserve in advance.

If you are using a wheelchair or have special needs athletes who need an elevator, add an extra 30 minutes in each direction for each elevator.

We walked from the ALoft when we stayed there. The year we stayed there they had one elevator working. Other than that, parking at the hotel was decent, walk to convention center doable and seems like there were places to eat nearby.

Not sure if this was mentioned is there priority seating?

There are priority viewing areas in front of the stage (standing room only). There is quite a bit of space in them. But as I previously mentioned, if watching a worlds team, these may be packed. Last year one of my CP's teams was in between two worlds teams and it was difficult just trying to get up to the front to see my kid compete. I had to bulldoze my way through the crowd a bit.

Great advice even for this non-newbie! Last year was our first year and there is still lots to be learned. I didn't realize there was an underground link. Our gym's meeting room was in A so that would be nice. And a ?? - is the Aquarium packed? I had thought about heading over there Sunday after awards but I hate crowds (unavoidable at the competition but I want a respite after!)

I haven't been to the aquarium during cheersport but I know a few people who have and said the Sunday isn't so bad, especially since awards are Sunday and most people stay at the GWCC throughout most of that day. I heard the Monday is normally a madhouse because most people will stay and decide to do the attractions that day instead.

This is year 5 of my CPs going to Cheersport. Hopefully this will be the year at least one of them brings home a jacket. LOL.

Since Cheersport is giving away an at large Summit bid to every division winner what would happen if the division winner already had a bid? Does it get thrown away or passed down?

Pretty sure they'll get thrown away.

They get thrown away. Or if the division winner gets a paid the at large for that division disappears.
