I've looked all over the place and cannot find a listing of International Summit Bid recipients that includes all of the teams coming from other countries - Varsity lists many, but there should be upwards of 80 teams that have received bids from overseas and South America (plus 30 or so Canadian teams).

I'm really looking forward to see how the other countries do and to watch their different styles.

I've said it a million times, if I was a 20-something cheer professional, I would be looking to travel overseas for cheerleading. Holding Camps, Clinics, Choreography, etc. would be fun to do and work your way around the globe! No doubt the sport will continue to expand in other countries and it's a great opportunity.

They have my daughter's team listed twice. Her team is Platinum Athletics Shine and they are junior 1 not senior 1 and they got their bid at Nation's Choice.

Still not seeing any teams (except Canada) from all of the International competitions out there --- there should be some from Japan, Europe and South/Central America - I guess I'll have to wait until the schedule comes out....

Not everyone who earned a bid will take it. For some that is a very expensive and long trip to make.

Looks like this is the case. Most of these international teams are from Australia and Canada it looks like. Also just putting this out there that most comps in BC the international bids went to American teams, not sure if thats the case across Canada but definitely in BC.
I just looked over the bid competitions and there was one in Japan like 2-3 weeks ago... you'd think Varsity would try to give them more time to prepare teams in case they do get a bid... Like imagine only having a month or two to prepare to travel across the world, they should really be able to defer those bids.

I don’t know if it would be the same for Japan but in the UK summit and worlds bids are handed out the season before so in the UK we’ve already got teams with worlds bids for 2019 and in June the summit bids will be for 2019

Gotcha! It used to be like that in BC at the last competition of the season, but they've changed it so you can't defer them anymore. I hope theres more international teams than it shows on the list, because it'd be waste if we had this international division filled with 99% american teams...

There’s definitely some British teams this year. We sent a couple last year in the regular divisions as they were last year and one team won their division so I can imagine they’ll be back!
