I mean, I get it. I do. It's their show and basically they are paying ESPN for a big promo spot, but man... What a crock.

There are plenty of sportswear companies that sponsor a tournament or game and still show other brands there... GK sponsors almost every major gymnastics meet, but they don't require GK leotards.

Who runs the judging at those gymnastic events? GK judges? Or USGA judges?

I would feel differently about it if it were a national governing body like NFHS that were actually running the competition. As I posted somewhere else, though, until NFHS is doing that for a national basketball, football, baseball, volleyball, etc tournament, that’s not likely to happen anytime soon.

We are actually on a road towards that. The recent yearly nfhs meeting ended with a lot of support for the nfhs to start doing what it does with track/cross country and cheer on a national championship scale for the other sports. We shall see.

Is anyone familiar with the white MotionFlex fabric and how transparent it is? If your pieces are white, do you need a specific color of bra (like a nude convertible) underneath, or is the fabric thick enough that it doesn’t matter? Same thing with white skirts and dark-colored briefs. Before I commit to a new uniform, I’d like to know if my girls are going to need to shell out more dough for a specialty bra so their underwear isn’t visible during halftimes.

We used white motionflex the past two years with bright red spandex built in underneath and it worked perfectly. Here's some photos if you'd like to see for yourself:

I always told my girls to wear a white/gray/black sports bra just so if it peaked out by the color it couldn't be seen, but the only time I ever actually saw a sports bra through the motionflex was when one of my girls wore a neon pink one to a game. If you have more specific questions you can DM me, but I had no issues using white motionflex for basketball games and competitions for two years (no noticeable stains or wear/tear on the color, either).

For our white unis, made of VSF Motionflex, we have to limit the neons and patterns on the spandex and sports bras worn under the unis. They can be faintly seen depending on the lighting. We now ask the girls to wear grey, black, or purple - solids only under them.

Same rules apply to our white practice tshirts (comfort colors) and our white practice shorts (VSF)

Also, regarding MotionFlex skirts that are advertised with the braid on the waistband: can we order the design WITHOUT the braid on the waist? Or is it an all or nothing thing?

White motion flex uni in my avi picture... Briefs were royal blue and didn't show through. I don't ever remember having issues with bras, but I think I mainly wore a white sports bra underneath.
