Congratuations!! We’ll be visiting Ontario next month :). I’m hoping to get CP to check out a few universities while there, because I’ve been impressed at what they have to offer. York and Guleph both look like possible good fits, both for major interests and cheer. I have a student applying to U Toronto and Waterloo, but I can’t imagine him on a competitive team that doesn’t involve computers or a Rubix cube :).

If you're looking at competitive cheerleading teams at the college/university level in southern Ont. I would suggest looking at the following in addition to Guelph and York:

- Western University (Strong All Girl & Coed)
- Laurier University (All Girl)
- Queen's University (Coed)

I personally attended Queen's and York. Feel free to DM me if you have any questions.

Thanks! I’m doing the fully online program, so I can’t speak to how the campus life is, but I know quite a few people who have transferred from Waterloo and Laurier to Guelph and they love it! As for Cheer there is another tryout in September if that’s where your CP ends up choosing!
