Braced Flip: A pyramid in which the top person performs a hip‐over‐head rotation while not in contact with anyone on the ground.

yay for routine changing in january! womp womp lol

Lol, what am I missing, Scotty?
NFHS and AACCA rules don't align this year. Specifically in regards to high to high tick tocks.

NFHS didn't release their rules til after we had been to camp and did our choreo so the ticks we put in are on hold til after our state event (state runs with NFHS rules). Full arounds for now will suffice, but the kids were loving and hitting the ticks so we wanna add em back.

Gotcha, I knew that, but was reading your post in the context of various flipping skills, not rule variances. Plus, that one isn't on my radar for this year.

yea just a quick change to our opening elite. right now that sequence ends with high to high full arounds then a dismount. really looks nice with a tick instead before the dismount, we shall see how hard my girls wanna work to get that back in though lol

Yeah I have the app but the language is so freaking dry and unhelpful. Thanks so much AGAIN again for you help :)

The round-off entry type stunts are the only variations I believe where this is allowed. Only because the backspot has ankle contact throughout the lifting process. This stunt imo is in the grey of inversion skills anyways

Also, when they say “landing extended” in braced flips/rolls, is that a hard rule? Or can the “high” part after you finish a low/high tick following a flip count as “landing extended” since that’s technically the end of the stunt?
