Does anyone else feel like we're going to end up with a worlds WEEK instead of weekend thanks to all the divisions being added? It kind of makes my head spin to keep track of them all at this point with all of the new open divisions and non tumbling and all that!

that's what the usasf/iasf/disney want.

the cheer and dance events contract from VB to Disney was re-signed a few years ago (for another 20) and VB promised more events and more attendance

Well again, no worlds bracket for me. Lol I was having a tough time with prelims for small ag/coed (as I didn’t have a clue of the teams) a few years ago. Remember a few years ago we were laughing that it was day 4 of worlds (at that time it was like 8 divisions) even though it had beeen like a few hours past midnight. Worlds week just give me the cliff notes. B/c I’m not sure I can keep up with day 1-10 threads.

If I’m understanding the article from cheer updates that means that worlds will now include r5 and non tumbling divisions in the future?? I mean that’s absolutely insane...what’s even prestigious about winning worlds at that point?? The competition gives bids to basically everyone, no longer features only divisions of the highest level athletes, and has so many divisions based on size, international/not, and now level you have about a million world champion teams??

Non-tumbling is already included for this year. But yes, IASF will have essentially R5 teams at Worlds next year.

I wonder if they will rename to have IASF world champs and USASF national champs.

Do you think theres a chance USASF might just do away with senior divisions and move to "open" divisions that are 14 and up? If we lost all the senior divisions and worlds and gained these with senior teams moving into the respective divisions I honestly wouldn't' complain and worlds would stay about the same size.

Would that mean that travelling basket tosses (like they used to do at the NCA College Nationals) be making a comeback?
