Question. We saw on varsity’s website that Canadian teams are the only teams eligible for international summit bids. Is this right? Does this mean that US teams have to travel to Canada to get their international bids?

Where do you see that?
I see a point that says Canadian teams are the only international teams eligible to receive bids in the US. But nothing that says that they are the only teams eligible for bids.

Yes sorry that’s what I meant. Only Canadian teams are eligible at US competitions. But then US teams have to travel to Canada for their international bids now?

Doesn’t make sense to me.

No. US teams can receive bids in the US. Canadian teams are the only non-US teams that can get bids in the US.

So countries like England have to physically compete in the US to receive a bid?

No, only Canadian and US teams can get bids in the US. Teams in Europe would have to get their bids there.
