Probably is a similar org to the NASC which is a 'group' under USA Cheer that doesn't actually exist. It exists on paper to give uca and nca a stronger positioning on the Board and for voting. Shameful.

Wouldn't be surprised if Champion Force Athletics is like that too. I haven't ever heard of it personally, but also haven't gone looking for it.
They follow USASF rules. There's videos of it, it's just really confusing. I think it's a very cheap knock-off of USASF...

so in random news i may have pissed off an alabama alum, sports writer on twitter who was talking crap about us, by telling him our UCF mini horse would take a dump on their field and team....

he didnt take it to well, but it got me 1k in likes, so ill take it..

Champion Force is competitive rec, part of NYAA. It used to be called Young Champions. Levels 1-3 are level 1 with limited tumbling for different ages (level 1and 2 are completely non-tumbling, level 3 adds rolls and cartwheels and bridges), no tryout. Levels 4-8 are equivalent to All Star 1-4, tryout required. No team is allowed to practice more than 1 hour/week for levels 1-4 and 2 for 5+. Some programs have separate tumbling classes, but usually it comes down to “learn it on your own”. Coaches do have to do USASF safety training, and are supposed to have cheer experience. Coaching, IME, ranges from great to awful. One problem is that since coaches are paid so little, it seems to be hard to keep good ones. At least in our area, the management also seems to follow a “customer is always right” motto, to the point that coaches can lose their jobs just due to a parent complaint without any real followup. Competitions are just CF teams- regionals, top 3-4 get a bid to state, and levels 4+ (I think 3+ now) can get a bid to Nationals. All teams at the same level wear the same uniform until level 7,when they can finally choose to design their own, so the only difference is bows (and sometimes socks). The routine is 2 minutes 30 seconds, and must include a cheer. Levels 1-4 have to use poms for at least part of the routine, and other props are allowed.

CP did it for several years, and moved to All Star after level 4-largely because she had started to get pressured to get tumbling skills, went to an all star gym to tumble, and after being in that gym, decided she liked it better, both because of the higher level coaching and just plain that there were more teens there, because her team was basically “everyone who can throw a walkover however bad”-regardless of age.

I don’t regret starting there-it was a LOT less expensive. But CP feels it was a waste of time since she basically came in with decent jumps, positions, and the ability to count to 8-but not much else that didn’t have to be relearned the All Star way.

Ok so I know this has nothing to do with cheerleading, but what is the best way too deal with toxic, negative and emotionally and verbally abusive parents? I am a minor and just feel like I'm stuck and can never get away from it

I don't have much time to answer right now but just wanted to tell you: it DOES get better as you get older and can get away from them.
Feel free to pm me if you ever need someone to talk to.

I'm sorry. That should never happen. I hope you have other adults in your life you can turn to. I'm happy to provide support long distance!

I'm also here if you ever need to talk! And, I know it sucks to hear it, but I second what Emily said--once you get older and can away it does get so much better. And similar to what quitthedrama said, the best thing you can do is go to the adults around you that treat you right. Coaches, teachers, grandparents and parents' of friends helped me a lot more than just about anything else when I was a teenager. <3

For the emotional side of dealing with it, try your best to set boundaries with them and build up support systems elsewhere.

On the practical side of things, since you're a minor, I would suggest preparing for turning 18 and being on your own. Gather/figure out how to get your social security card, birth certificate, your own bank account that your parents cant access, etc. Learn as much as you can about moving out, financial literacy, college stuff, etc.

Not sure if you're familiar with Reddit, but here are a couple of links to lists of resources/guides that might be useful from /r/raisedbynarcissists (here) (and here)

Really random... But I was going through my threads I created in the past & I'm speechless at how stupid my 15 year old self was..

This is why I love coaching children lol

9 year old: "'Dramatic' is your middle name."
8 year old with an eye roll: "That's not my middle name..."
another 8 year old whispers: "It's her first name."

That's a bigger stretch than my fat pants were on Thanksgiving Day.
Horrible for Milton - huge athlete and seems like a great guy. Not a single person was waiting for him to get hurt or to "screw UCF". This is the mentality that makes people not to want to root for UCF.

no its the truth its just how the committee is, we lost milton. wont have him for the memphis game or if we make the bowl game, and most likely he's done for next season too. Im not saying people were waiting for something to happen to ucf as a whole (mainly people were waiting for a loss, to say "told you so") but his injury will be a reason people bring up why they lower UCF in the rankings. It is what it is.
Plus i think the biggest reason will be usf was no longer a ranked team by the time we got to play them, so between the other rival games this week in the P5 (and the majority of those being ranked games), we would probably drop regardless.

Oh college football... The blatant biased is getting out of hand... And now more teams are calling you out on it and the need for expansion and yet here you are making excuses.....
