OMG why can't these girls just be fierce athletes? Why do they have to wear hair pieces, a drag beat, nail polish, and now rings too?

Idk if the sport is changing or I'm getting old but I never used to look at uniforms/hair/makeup/etc and think "I wouldn't let my young daughter wear that" but every year I find myself saying it more and more. What kind of lesson is it teaching them? "It's not enough to be the best of the best at what you do, you have to be hot and all done up too or no one will pay attention to what you're doing"??

I am not an overly conservative person and am pretty liberal as far as uniforms go (ex: not one to go crazy about bras) but I have seen at least 2 that are on the "if I had a daughter, and this was the uni, we would be done cheering there" list.

Do the walking ATMs......I mean parents.....see these monstrosities.....I mean uniforms.......before they shell out more money than my car payment, or are they gifted with the lovely surprise of having a kid wear what can only be described as a hold my beer competition for skimpiest, blingiest, and campiest group competition costume? Cause let's face it, at this point these things are not athletic uniforms. But hey. It's all for social media likes these days and not about athleticism anymore.
