Because they have lied in the past about what they were giving out as first place prizes. Went to a comp a couple years ago. Even early on Sunday morning, it said jackets would be given. I think when they opened up their boxes, they must have seen duffle bags were sent instead. So they updated their website and said duffle bags were the prize. So many crying kids from multiple gyms. They were really disappointed. Kids want jackets, not bags. I understand that in the grand scheme of things, this really isn't a big deal. But to those kids, it was a big deal.
And about these prizes that were "stolen." Who steals this? I can't even imagine how many boxes there were. And they were all stolen?? I don't buy it. And if they were brought inside the venue, there had to have been security cameras. The Rams used to play at this venue. And it has been almost 2 months and still no replacement. Not holding my breath.

The theft I can understand, it was probably tractor trailor or shipping container theft which happens quite often in the retail world. The sad part about cargo theft is it does take months to replace, especially imports. The mistake on the jackets and duffle bags....

I used to work at the dome when the Rams played and yes there are security cameras they were very rarely on.

The Chattanooga tentative schedule is up-two weeks in advance! (I was looking to see if they said what prizes were )

I looked before Christmas and the one this weekend looked like it was posted 12/5. So I kept checking hoping the Chattanooga one would be up. Finally yesterday.

Awards are typically sometime during the breaks listed.

Providence is up too including their awards schedule which is awesome!!! So I know my kids awards time for Sunday, January 27 but I don't know their awards time for Sunday, January 13????? I swear everything in the cheer world is just backwards!

Happened to see a discussion that at another of their comps (a one day comp) the winners didnt even get medals. Only the grand champs did. So this company used to give hoodies and medals, now has hoodies stolen, and most recently didnt give medals even to first place winners. Pattern of them running out of money maybe???

Correct. My daughter got first place 2 months ago. She did not get a medal. Still no shoodie.

At the comp we attended in Dec only the grand champs of each level got medals, all 1st places got shoodies. In the over 6yrs we have been doing cheer we have seen the comps give less and less each yr. Our first yr we got sweatshirts, t shirts or jackets with wins. Now we are lucky to see a medal.
