If it is legit (and I have no reason to doubt it was), it has since been deleted. I will follow up with the people I know at Rebel, because that isn't cool at all. I am surprised they were "drawn offsides" by that particular original comment, because that wasn't even remotely one of the worst ones being thrown their way.

I saw more positive comments than bad, but holy smokes! Reading through instagram comments has made me feel really, really old. Why are people so hateful and venomous online?

EDIT: I meant to say "I have NO reason to doubt it was".
People are atrocious online because they know for the most part they wont face repercussions for what they say. Half the stuff people say online to eachother probably wouldnt dare to say it to the persons face, or a lot more people would be walking around with black eyes.... I truly cant stand this day and age in internet, cause people are just down right a-holes and think its funny.

No, just stop. What’s with the music video smh. Movie trailers, why.

I can get behind a flirty uniform, but these are ridiculous. TG plays with bold choices that favor style over functionality -- and sometimes it pays off -- but they've completely lost their minds on this one. This is a costume, not a uniform. It's inappropriate and weird. Even if you put aside the main issue with it -- the fetish-y feel -- that sparkly, itchy tie is unnecessary and it's going to slap everyone's faces as some point during the routine. And that backpack...oof.

I've always felt Rebel unis look like they're designed by people who have never cheered before and they're created only to photograph well in a catalog and that's about it. It's like the designers completely disregard the fact that a cheer uniform needs to accommodate lots of movement while remaining comfortable, flattering, and functional. Whether that's true or not, I don't know. But this uni does nothing to change my mind.

What kills me is you CAN do a schoolgirl outfit that's cute and appropriate. Our dance coach put one together for her team's "back to school" routine. It's a mid-thigh pleated skirt with bike shorts underneath (not briefs but full shorts that cover the hips because she didn't want the suggestiveness), knee socks, and a sparkly letterman jacket over a white tank that acts as the centerpiece of the costume. IT'S SO CUTE, the girls love it, and they're all covered up. It can be done. TG just wasn't interested in doing it.

I’ve wasted a lot of time over the years policing jewelry. My college coach didn’t even want hoodies on us because of the hood catching on things.
And now a level 5 team has neckties, suspenders and a backpack?
I’m guessing no ones going to ding them on safety because of who they are but it makes me feel like I wasted my time telling my girls to take out their tiny stud earrings that I never really believed were dangerous but break the no jewelry rule.
