I get that this isn't a worlds bid competition so CU isn't there, but I did not hear a single thing about this competition all weekend. The Friday night event used to get a lot of coverage, but this year I can't tell you who competed in it, let alone who won. Seems like a stupid marketing tactic on behalf of the EP. I really enjoyed this competition the year we went so it's disappointing that Spirit Sports doesn't even want to talk about it.

This happens to some comps with World bids also.....

This was weird to me too. I saw more coverage of One Up this weekend than BATB.

Cheer updates does not really care about non worlds divisions and is quite in your face about it if you ask him a question about that.
So much for being the self proclaimed industry leader when you basically ignore levels 1-4...

Good gravy. Cheer Updates has never covered levels 1-4 and it would be near impossible for one person (even with some help) to be able to do that. If you are so interested in those levels, the door is wide open for you to cover them.
As far as a "self proclaimed industry leader", I'll say it before and I'll say it again. He provides a service that we desperately need and is not being provided elsewhere and we are collectively as an industry better off with it than without it.

Do you know how impossible it is to cover 1-4 at a large comp?

A few lower level divisions were so large at NCA that they were split into A/B/C/D (instead of just two splits.)

He would need a fulltime staff.

His coverage is clutch. Especially for things like Worlds Monday when I can't follow everything due to work!

Not to mention the divisions are also split into D1, D2, International... the number of divisions is literally endless now. It would be impossible to cover them all especially since they are often spread out into different Halls. Even just covering the Worlds divisions is a lot, especially at a big competition.

And if we're being honest, the people sitting on Twitter waiting for cheer updates are usually only interested in the Worlds divisions unless they have ties to a certain program. If Cheer Updates tried to cover every division, they would likely exceed the hourly tweet limit anyway. We're lucky we get any updates at all. CU is sometimes literally the only place where you can even find some scores of Worlds teams... and it's not as if they get paid for the work they do.
