Has anyone have any information on this competition?

Very little. In the past when it has been held in Nashville there were many positive reviews. I have heard it is a huge competition this year - numbers similar to Cheersport and NCA.

Interesting. What causes huge shifts like that? Just random the way the big comps are scheduled or is there some other factors I am missing? Believe we are attending this year too but I haven't thought much about it since it is a little way off...

It can be a combination of things. It's not quite as late in the season as it was in prior years (IIRC it was 2 weeks before Worlds), so teams who don't have a bid can go and also have time to prepare better for Worlds. It moved back to Nashville and I think is one of the only big competitions in that area. People are tired of going to Atlanta with all of the competitions in that area and don't want to keep traveling to the same place during the season, and there are many fun things to do in Nashville. From what I have heard it is very well run. I've never been and although I'm over the travel expenses I'm looking forward to going to this one.

Well this was true. Can't even begin to describe the nightmare that was Nashville. Too many people, not enough rooms, food, walkways etc. It could have been well run had it been half the size but they were in no way prepared to handle the crowds. It did manage to run pretty much on time, which was actually disappointing bc the loading area was so narrow that by the time you got through your team was halfway done. And those who decide to wait at the end and load from the other way just made it worse.

edited to add: oh and no cell service at all.

It was such a disappointment. By far the worst competition of the year for me. It did run on time and I thought the placements were accurate for the divisions I saw. Everything else was AWFUL.

It might have depended on your provider. I had no issues at all with my cellphone. I had full service the entire time.

It was difficult with teams going on every 3 minutes. Even with being at the front of the VIP line, my CP's teams were always already running out to the stage before I could get to a spot.

Definitely too many people. I don't suffer from anxiety, but my anxiety levels were a bit elevated from all the people and lack of personal space.

Food was overpriced. And most of it was not that great. And the lines!! Waiting over an hour in line for my daughter to get her Pink Drink from Starbucks was frustrating.

I thought the scoring was fairly accurate. And in my experience, it pretty much ran on time. One of my CP's teams actually got to start a minute early.

All that being said, I won't be sad if we never do this comp again.

I heard that the hotels were over booked
We arrived a little earlier on Friday so wasn't an issue with our group but the rumor going around was they were so overbooked that housekeeping set up families to sleep in the ballrooms.

I have no idea why more comps can't follow the lead of the Omni in Dallas and have more pop-up areas for food and drink. That whole outside area was wasted while the athletes had the combination of being starved and filling up on junk food whenever you could find it! My stomach is still in knots.

Agree although not sure they had to rush announce you hit zero! before the end of the routine. I saw a few times that was clearly not accurate...

I think the thing that has me most upset regarding this comp (besides the scoring issues in my kids division, they just announced a new winner today, don’t get me started on that) is the STP pricing. We paid $262 a night for a standard double. There was a homeschool convention there at the same time and their rate was $180 for that type of room. So, they had the same rooms, same overall crappy service and same obscenely long lines for any kind of food or drinks for $72 less a night.
I’d like to know why.

Which division was this and how was the error discovered?

Of course the pricing was ridiculous but I thought the homeschoolers checked out on Friday? so maybe their rate was weekday and ours weekend? So ironic that homeschoolers were there before us and then the bible group after, lol.

Med Coed 5. Not 100% sure how the error was discovered, but the One Up Facebook page posted the new results today. How can scores. change two days later? totally unacceptable.
