Do most of you purchase the commuter/hopper pass for you and your family?

ESPN is $35 per day per packet below, no 2 day passes with it being an elimination event. The kids would go to the parks if they had time and DH and I would just purchase a one day parkhopper if we felt like going. The multi day parkhoppers are a great price, especially with the ESPN admission, but we never felt we had the time to go to the parks to make it worthwhile. If your child wants to attend the Celebration Party on Sunday night, they ran out of wristbands last year at the Varsity tent and didn't get more, so I would recommend purchasing those in advance (paid bids receive a wristband).

CP's team got an at large bid for winning Cheersport. I feel like I have read so much about Summit and now that we're going I don't remember much. The gym just sent an email with the hotels we can book. I think I we will stay on Disney property, a value option that seems fairly close.

Is there a "usual time" that small Y2 compete? Or could it be any time from early morning until late at night?

Does anyone know if they're fixing some issues from last year? This will be our first time but I read a lot about crowding and craziness last year. Thanks!

Best thing Varsity did about crowding at HS nationals this year was set up awards announcements in another area. Stopped people from hanging out in the performance areas all day long to keep their seats. You could even get a decent seat in the field house most of the day Saturday which used to be impossible.

How do they announce who is advancing? We have a Wild Card so are competing Friday, so only a handful out of the dozens that compete Friday are then advancing to Sunday. Curious if they are just announced at the end of the day, or is it at the end of each division for that day?

I don’t know if they will do this for Summit, but they had the greatest thing ever at NHSCC this year: they had it announced EVERYWHERE. Our day Friday was back to back to back. it allowed me to have my girls perform, and then we went back to our resort. They watched the the announcements via one of the in-house Disney channels in my assistant coach’s room, and I stayed back for the draw. They ended up putting out their own performance order instead of doing a draw, so I could have been with them, but either way..they didn’t have to spend all day at the event in the sun/heat waiting.

It will be listed on the schedule the times for announcing who moves on and where you go for that announcement.

I read on another thread somewhere that it is about a week and a half before.
Yup. The one they post a week and a half before is very detailed (down to the minute for your division’s block) and I wish they would put another one out sooner that’s a little less detailed so people have time to plan.

Hello beautiful cheer humans, this is my first season of allstar (I did high school/college cheer and gymnastics growing up), and as a certified Old Lady Allstar I have absolutely no idea what to expect for Summit (I compete International Open 4). I know that international divisions compete Thursday/Friday, that we're staying on site at Allstar Resort, and that we have a 4 day park hopper and ESPN entrance. I've read through this thread and seen a lot of great advice, but if you have any more you'd like to shoot my way I'd greatly appreciate it. I am not exaggerating when I say this is all new territory for me and is very different from, say NCA Nationals on the bandshell or USA Nationals with the team I coach for high school.
