Lifetime is bringing back a new version of cheerleader nation that will be following both Dunbar High and Ole Miss. Airing June 11th at 10/9 central. I don’t know how to post videos. We get to see both Donna and Ryan coaching. I’m excited even though Dunbar didn’t have a good nationals showing.

So excited! Saw them filming at nationals and knew something had to be coming. I was a big fan of cheerleader nation, and even the mtv real life special they did forever ago.

I love true life I’m a cheep and I’ve been following them since. I still have cheerleader nation on iTunes. I’m really excited to watch since Ryan was/still is (?) pregnant with her first child. I feel really old now.

ETA: she had her baby.

I STILL HAVE IT ON ITUNES TOO! The end of the routine when they celebrate still gets me choked up.

The walk up to stretch - double down
-OH 2006 <3

1. ALL that time to set up stunts. I wish we still had it.

2. I also wish that cartoonish jog would just go already (still see it refusing to die).

3. That dance won in 2006 but looks like nothing now... no floor work, no level changes, no rolls offs... nothing.

4. But those tucks and baskets are still ON POINT.

Missed the last two episodes since Ink Master is on at the same time and my DVR didn’t record em. :( But I’m really enjoying it since the drama has more to do with the sport rather than pettiness.

I enjoy that in this show (unlike other cheer/dance shows), the routines/coaching decisions/kids working to be their best > manufactured drama.

I don't care who is taking whose ex to prom, whose mom smacked whose after practice, or who is offended about not being invited to the sleepover at the coaches' house.

I want to see the technique on those high to highs and how you finally got that kid to throw her full. Thank you.

Sidenote: I think that is why I enjoyed Cheerleader U and the OG Cheerleader Nation. Less drama. More cheer.
